Fins may be sending a message to Brandon Fields

Brandon Fields is in his third season as the Miami Dolphins’ punter.  His average to date for the 2009 season is 44.5 yards.

But something is up.  At a minimum, someone may be sending Fields a message.

A league source tells us that the Dolphins tried out a trio of punters on Tuesday — Britton Colquitt, Adam Graessle, and Ricky Schmitt.

Sparano hasn’t been happy with the (lack of) hangtime on Fields’ punts, and he’s made that known.
The Fins really should have kept Donnie Jones.

I would question this move, but every time I do they prove me wrong….even their group of receivers looks pretty good now.

The the message the Dolphins are sending to Brandon Fields is simple:
If we can find a punter that can consistently punt the damn ball, go ahead and clean your locker out…

This is why I continue to come to this website. For the hard hitting punter try out news, other media outlets are too scared to touch.
    Thanks!

Well they let Donnie Jones go for Brandon Fields. What a mistake. Idiots. Donnie pooched 50-60 yards. Fields barely kicks it further than I spit.

It gets so down and dirty in the world of punters, it would make Cable scream like a girl and run.
    Again, like a girl.

Does anybody know who Donnie Jones is punting for now?

I didn’t want to say anything, but Sparano should be careful. When my wife wasn’t doing as I wished, I brought in a trio of new receivers to tryout so as to send her a strong message, but she somehow found that insulting and went all Cutler, demanding a trade.

I really don’t see a problem with Fields. They aren’t getting eaten up in punt returns.
They are getting eaten alive on kickoffs. The message should be sent to Carpenter.
Maybe they want to find a punter who can hit deep kickoffs too, since Carpenter is reliable on field goals.

The punters coming in could all be models if they changed their first names. Brittany Colquitt, Angeline Graessle, and Ricki Schmitt. Don’t post articles about unemployed kickers, Florio. It’s embarrassing. For us.

yeah i don’t get this. Fields is doing quite well, and had a pretty damn good game on monday night.
it is the kickOFFs that we suck on, and our ST coverage is crap.
they need to bring in new special teams coaches and fire Bonamego, not change the punter.
PS – to the reader that asked, donnie jones plays for the rams IIRC.
