Veteran defensive lineman Chuck Darby (who once went by the name “Chartric”) re-joined the Lions earlier this month.
And now he’s gone. Again.
A league source tells us that the Lions cut Darby on Tuesday.
Darby was brought back to replace rookie Sammie Hill, who had an ankle injury. Hill was inactive for Sunday’s loss to the Steelers, but the decision to dump Darby could mean Hill is ready to return.
Per the source, the Lions filled Darby’s roster spot with defensive back Demarcus Faggins.
