The hapless St. Louis Rams, who are one loss away from completing the NFL’s version of the Tiger Slam, are still trying.
Their effort on Tuesday consisted of signing veteran receiver Tim Carter, a league source has confirmed. The acquisition was first reported by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
Carter, who has played for the Giants and Browns but who hasn’t been on a regular-season roster since 2007, filled the roster spot created when defensive tackle Gary Gibson was placed on injured reserve.
