Kearse doesn't apologize for leaving stadium before game

As Mr. Florio pointed out earlier this week, Titans defensive end Jevon Kearse will not be fined for leaving LP Field before Sunday night's game after he found out he was going to be inactive.

Kearse isn't sorry about the decision to leave either, and won't guarantee that it won't happen again, now that the benching appears permanent.

"It depends on how I'm feeling. It depends on how I'm feeling right now," Kearse said. "I kind of knew it was going to happen throughout the week or whatever. But once it happened, I mean there was nothing I could do. I wanted to go hang out with my family and friends I had in town, and that's what I did."

Kearse had an inkling he wasn't going to play and showed up later than usual for the game.  He did not go through warm ups.

"I got there in my street clothes later than I was supposed to. I kind of knew it was gonna come, so I just wanted to get the official word. And once I got the official word, I jumped back in my Benz and I went home," Kearse said.

Even though Kearse was called a healthy scratch and hasn't been listed on the injury report, the coaching staff told him he has to get healthier before they use him again.

Benching the 11-year veteran could also be a sign that the Titans are looking towards the future as losses pile up.

Jeremy Roenick did something like this in Phoenix. Found out he was gonna be scratched, left the building and watched the game across the street at a steak restaurant.

Kearse signs with a team and doesn't show up to play?

Eagles' fans have known this for years.

Soooo... this selfish prick is still selfish, and a prick.
Thanks for stealing money from the Eagles for four years and then bitching about it, jerkoff.

hard to feel for a guy that can "jump back into the Benz".

Cut the dude. Seriously. What a loser. Maybe after spending a few years in his "Benz" and NOT having a reporter care about it he'll realize how stupid it was to do this.

What a pos. Guy gets paid millions and can't even muster enough character to hang out on the sidelines. I'd cut his lazy selfish ass.

Isn't this pretty much cut-able? What's the point of keeping a guy like that around? Would not be surprised at all to find out he's a 2nd uncle of Jamarcus Russell's.

Remember, there is no "ME" in Benz.

And then came back to the arena to talk to the media. However, he didn't eat much steak at the steakhouse. He was hammered and made a total ass of himself. It was classic.

The complete team player. For a year or so. Which seems so very long ago.

Bye, bye Jevon. The over/under on bankruptcy is 5.

Leaving the stadium was a great move for Kearse. Knowing him, he'd probably get injured being a healthy scratch.
