What about all the conservative fans that now feel isolated because someone that shares their opinion is not allowed to be an owner? Look at the confliction of interests in just this particular blog alone. That my friend is polarization! You also need to realize that it is not about Rush’s political views, it is about his racism, his racist remarks, etc. Not many ppl would care if he were “just” a conservative. Limbaugh has a love of NFL football and has the money to fulfill his dream. THAT is what counts. His political views are his and he’s entitled to them. They should not be a criteria for taking his rights away.
We can not in this country get to a point where we are penalizing people for having opinions and views that some may not agree with. Rush Limbaugh makes 38$ million a year being a radio talk show host on public property. The public airwaves are owned by the American people for which Rush and his affiliate companies pay no rent to broadcast.
Limbaugh is on corporate welfare, freeloading on the backs of the American people. Until he pays rent to the people for use of this valuable public property he shouldn’t have any stake in ownership whatsoever of any NFL or any other professional sports team.

You have been listening to Rush for far too long my friend. You think you know my personal politics because I state Rush is racist and back up my beliefs with fact? If you must know, I consider myself an independent, which is why I do listen to Rush periodically. I also listen to Hannity, Olberman, O’Reilly, Matthews and quite a few others. I do what I can to find out all about a particular issue by listening to both Republicans and Democrats.
However, I was brought up to believe that everyone is equal no matter the color of their skin. Something you and I obviously disagree on. That is your choice as is mine.

I’m completely at a loss. I was born, raised and live in Michigan, but my parents are both born of immigrants (Canada and Asia), so my roots don’t really side with the north or the south.
If I understand history correctly, slavery developed in Africa and China. (I believe it still exists on both continents.) The US briefly tried slavery and then rejected it for the horror that it was. Yet for some reason the US is blamed for slavery. I think the US should be honored and commended for it’s noble history in regards to slavery.
I wasn’t aware that Nixon helped end Jim Crow laws, but most people aren’t aware he ended the Vietnam war, so I guess it makes sense. (Give Nixon no credit for anything.)
