Honestly...it's not the comment Soros made about the Bush Administration that should be the icing on the cake.
Try the fact that he worked with the Nazi's (all be it part of survival) while in Germany. And the guy still called a US Administration "Nazis"...no matter how bad Bush may or may not have been...the US was NOWHERE near Nazi Germany.
Let's put it another way. If Michael Vick buys a large amount of stock in Petco or Petsmart is that okay? Or would employees have to be asked if they would work for a man like Vick? If Leonard Little buys a stock in Molson Coors is that okay? Or would employees of the company be asked if they could work for someone who had killed someone while drunk driving?
ANYONE should be able to invest in whatever capital venture they choose as long as it is legal. What will be interesting to see is if all potential owners of sports teams will be scrutinized so much now. I really hope not.

"And losing by over 30 points to the Seahawks?"
I'm sorry, but how far back do we need to go? This year is this year, last year was last year. They kicked their butts and broke Hasselback's rib last time. But if you want to go back in time, then 49ers 5 Superbowl rings. Seahawks none. 'Nuff said.
The problem with your tenuous grasp on economics is quite apparent.
Free market economy drives innovation and rewards those who make wise decisions. It punishes those who don't. Government intervention stifles innovation and government control stifles competition, creating monopolies of grand proportion.
Admittedly the deregulation of the banks didn't work all that hot, however it was because it wasn't a TOTAL deregulation. The CRA still applied, as did other regulations, so while the banking system was trying to operate under a free market, the government was STILL forcing it to adhere to its own BS regulatory mumbo jumbo. Its really quite simple to understand, so read slowly if you need it.
Add in the fact that any business in a free market economy that falls under government regulations has its hands tied, so to speak, and you have a problem. Unfortunately, again, the liberals don't embrace logic, or reason, or even the standard understanding of people in a free market environment. They scream at the top of their lungs about, amongst other things, how a free market economy is racist, biased, bigoted, unfair, etc. etc. etc. That is why the majority of districts that lean heavily to the left have the highest percentages of welfare in this country. They think its UNFAIR that successful people should have money and be rewarded, and want it redistributed (hence the extended provisions of the CRA).
The liberals in this country reward failure. The conservatives reward success. The liberals like to lie and scream to get their point across, yet refuse to allow themselves to be hurt by it (see Al Gore and his "man made" global warming bit, while simultaneously refusing to give up his limos and private jet trips, which pollute more in one trip than an SUV owner in his entire life, yet Al wants them to give up their SUVs. I don't like SUVs and never will because I consider them too big, but I shouldn't, nor should anyone else, demand another to give them up while I am unwilling to give something up that I like). I can give other examples if you like.
The last thing I will say on the matter, liberals really are the weakest of human beings, wanting more and more government to control the people, to regulate, to take freedom. Conservatives, in general, want less (not none) government. We don't want to be told how to live our lives. We want the basic of protection and what is necessary of laws. That is the essence of freedom, really. Fascism is the liberal way. I'm not sure what you mean about "your party" because I don't affiliate with a party. That is where you seem to have a misconception. You can't see past party lines. Its either Repubes or Demegogs. I'm talking about people, not parties, and their personal sways. Liberals, conservatives (I lean conservative, its obvious) is a better way to look at it. The moderates in this country are what matter, and they aren't, generally, strongly politically affiliated. It shows in how often they sway.
Such a lack of basic human understanding, like I said, is a liberal trait. Change for the sake of change, not for a reason. No real direction. No real plan to get where you are going, just a 'lets see how this works' attitude and off we go. I'd rather let humanity as a whole and free market economies dictate which way we go. The rest of the world is laughing at Obama, the French of all people are laughing at him, their president as well. He's a novice and an imbecile. They love him because he is weakening America. When America weakens the rest of the world gains. Its simple. If you hate America so much, and love Obama, why not go off with his cult followers and start your own country? We will watch and laugh as its falls apart like Mother Russia and the 3rd Reich. Oh, and take the illegals with you, they are an even bigger drain on the economy. Have a nice day. :-)

I don’t like football, but I really Love this country. I certainly hope that the people who do like football will begin to rally for a TRUE market driven economy and not be blind to what is occurring in this country. I always check to see where my money goes before I give it to someone I don't like or can't trust. That is how this country is supposed to operate.
Soros is trying to kill this country!

Roynp3 - Typical wackjob liberal talk, my friend. Evade the problems without talking factual information and insult instead. Great job!
If people would actually take time and read the stimulus bill (yes, I tried, its longer than most epics) you will see that vast majority of funds going to government controlled or to be created government interests. When a large crowd in Detroit almost got into a riot trying to get "Obama money" supplied by the Porkulus Bill, I'd call that socialism. Harkens to an era in the Soviet Union of milk and meat lines. The short term, emergency funds supplied to the Auto industry and the Banks came with a massive provision... Pay back soon or we will own you. If you don't call that socialism, I don't know what is, the institutionalizing of private, corporate entities.
Lets not forget, this WHOLE banking crisis was started with Jimmy Carter passing the CRA or Community Reinvestment Act, forcing banks to hand out loans to people that wouldn't otherwise qualify (a great ploy by the liberals to get votes, ultimately destroying the proper, capitalistic lending policies and practices), ie, junk loans with absolutely no colateral. Bill Clinton extended its powers during his first term in an effort to buy his second term. It worked, and sure enough, the thing blew up in their faces, then blamed George Bush for everything (like hurricanes, things out of his control). See where I'm going? The liberals in this country scream they want change all the time, but never really think about the consequences. We just have to endure them every 20 to 30 years so people actually remember why they should not be in power.
49ers are an average team right now, getting better, but its taking time. Thanks for noticing. ;-)

Dcninerfan -
Around 90% is going to government programs? That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard, and lets be clear your post is full of ridiculous statements. You clearly have ZERO understanding of what the potential results of the financial crisis could have been. I'm not going to waste my time arguing with somebody that is so blinded by ignorance and Right Wing talking points that he probably jerks off to pictures of Ronald Reagan. You idiots are so devoid of actual solutions all you can do is scream socialism and hope someone is dumb enough to listen.
And you know what else? The 49ers suck.

Lots of dittoheads saying Soros is "Dr. Evil"
How much do you want to bet that Rush or Glen Beck coined that comparison? Just another example of dittoheads having no capability of independent thought.
It's scary how mad some white folk are about black people in America. It must be tough losing the power and race dominance you once had. That you could hate a race so much that you hide behind "equality" - despite the fact that WHITE PEOPLE ARE THE MOST PRIVILEGED IN THE USA - proves that there's a real fear and hatred there.
I guess it's something about football that brings out the real wackos and ignorant jerks.
I'm glad I live North of the Mason-Dixon line, where by and large there isn't this barely concealed race hatred.

You need to quit putting words into my mouth! I never said I was for him or against him. I said I didn't know him, period.
Funny how you complain about people putting words into Rush's mouth when you attempt to do the exact same thing. It doesn't surprise me though. Dittoheads/Republemmings will do anything they can to protect their idol Rush.

ROFLMAO! You can't even keep your own positions straight in the same thread

Actually, I have kept the same position. But in typical dittohead/republemming fashion, you only include PART of what I said instead of the entire paragraph. Pretty much shows your intellect doesn't it. You can't hold your position without making things up about someone.
I said it before, I'll say it again. Dittoheads/Republemmings will do/say anything needed to protect their idol Rush Limbaugh. The partial quote from the little puppy above proves it. My entire paragraph is below:
"Why would Soros have to go? While he may have made those comments about the Bush presidency, he is no where near the polarizing figurehead that Rush is. In fact, until reading this article, I personally had never heard of the guy."
If you look at other posts I have made, I also said that if he did make those remarks, that in my opinion he should not be allowed to be an owner either. Nice of you to omit that post, but then again, it doesn't fit with your agenda, does it!

Once again, someone putting words into my mouth. I never once said I was for or against him. All I said was that 1) I don't know the name, 2) the ownership group has the right to accept or reject anyone and 3) the NFL has the right to accept or reject any attempt to purchase a franchise (team).
I did say multiple times that I personally was against Rush being an owner, not because of his politics, but because of 1) his obvious racism and 2) the polarization he has already done within the fan base.
What is so hard about this that is so freaking hard for some certain individuals to understand?

Roynp3 - First thing, on the "Stimulus." Its like taking water from one end of a pool and putting in the other, expecting there to be an increase in the overall level. By taking money (tax payer money) that should go back into the private sector, the vast majority (around 90%) is slated to go towards government programs. If that isn't just about the stupidest thing anyone has ever heard, its up there. I can name on one hand the amount of government programs that run efficiently and are cost effective. So, the "Stimulus" is really just a way for the Obama administration to wave their hands in the air and shout "look at what we are doing!" whilst quietly trying to institute a socialist policy against capitalism (see the his health care proposal, actually read it, and the war that Pelosi has declared on private companies (calling them evil)).
As for his staffers, I said race-baiting, not racist, although Obama himself IS racist. His family history is that of criminals and malcontents (see the entire African side of his family, just about). If you actually read his book, you'll know what sort of upbringing he has. 20 some odd years of listening to his good friend , the racist Rev. Wright and the unrepentant Terrorist Bill Ayers is going to have a sway on his thinking. That and he claims that African Socialism is the way of the future (it working so well there right now).
Just deal with the fact that you voted a bigot and racist into the White House and then we can move on, and try to rectify the mistakes of the blind. It kind of shows when his first reaction to the arrest of a black scholar was to side with that black scholar WITHOUT learning anything of depth. Once he did learn, he realized he's a moron and spoke to soon, back tracked on his statements, but it was too late, his true colors showed through yet again. He hired a "green jobs Czar" who is an incredible racist : http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=be7_1251919681&c=1 So that's what liberals call bringing people together? Yeah.
I can go on and on, and unlike all the Rush "truths" that on one can seem to find evidence of except through wikipedia (no college or university will allow it any more), these are all recorded in actual, fact checked medium. Deal with it. Stop being blind.
By the way, I almost never listen to Rush, because frankly he annoys me. The fact that people want to take away his given rights as an American because of things he says is downright Facist. Un-American. Anti-Capitalist. You just don't see that.

@chapnasty and any one else --
Because I disagree with you, I get called names and such. Because I admit I never heard of a particular person by name, I'm suddenly naive, incompetent, a hypocrite and such.
What part of "rights" are you not understanding?
The Checketts ownership group has the *RIGHT* to accept or deny anyone into that group. The NFL has the *RIGHT* to accept or deny anyone ownership of a franchise. No reasons need to be given for these decisions. In fact, it wouldn't matter one way or the other unless someone can prove these decisions are racist or discriminatory in nature.
Poor Rush didn't get to buy his part of an NFL team. That decision is well within the Checketts group right. Look at the polarization that has happened just within this particular forum. *ANYONE* that causes that kind of polarization within the fan base shouldn't be able to buy any part of ANY sports franchise IMO. I seriously doubt that Soros will cause the same kind of polarization, but if he does, it is up to the ownership group to make the final decision but again, IMO he shouldn't be allowed to buy in either if it happens.
As someone else stated in one of the other topics, --
"The owner's association is nothing more that a group of wealthy capitalists who made a cold hard business decision, exactly what Rush promotes each and every day.
Isn't it interesting that the very altar at which Rush worships chose to reject his sacrifice and now he is doing precisely what he criticizes and lambasts the liberal left for doing: whining. Take your own advice rush, suck it up and move on."
Now, because the dittohead/republemmings didn't get their idol into the NFL, they are doing EXACTLY what their leader, Rush complains about doing! Whining!

I’ve been coming to PFTalk since 2001, but not for this, and I’ll give your site up in a flash if you keep going down this road.

Apparently, while completely blinded by your political bias, you missed the school children being indoctrinated into "Obama-ism". ..and the tilted media coverage and fawning hero worship by most of the media. (Very Nazi-like)
Let's face it people. Both sides are guilty. And this is ALL about power. Those that see Limbaugh as a problem and not Soros or visa vera, are nothing but political hacks.

blacks would take limbaugh-bucks too. they are lying.
lots of bs talk. and yes this has to do with big libs denying something to someone they dislike.
soros will get a pass.
nazi? while i didnt like certain bush policies he didnt go after his critics like osamabama is going after his. like clinton did. the chicago mob model.
and due to the plummeting popularity of his policies, it is obvious that the majority of the country had figured out that osamabama is out to get them any way he can. it's only a matter of time before his personal popularity polls follow suit.
but hey lets give seniors $250! bread and circuses! and yes i criticized gee dubya for his $300 checks too. cut the damn taxes way low forever. then thous shall see growth and job creation. real job creation.
if you think the propoaganda was wild in 01, you arent watching what has happened for the last 16 months. we are clearly in "dear fuehrer" mode. but osamabama cant be a "nazi" per se because he isnt of the majority. he is a commie. and he penalizes those not like him.
to hades with resident zero. the mud hutter doesnt even belong here.

In the ultimate hypocrisy,George Soros and Rush Limbaugh were both in the original group of investors that were angling to buy the Rams LOL!!!
Lets see if I can get my head around this one; two guys who have divergent, passionate (zealous) political/moral views and agendas were able to find common ground........when it was about making some money. Further support of my long standing view that both extremes(left/right) ARE 100% FULL OF SHIT LYING SELF SERVING HYPOCRITS !!!
****
Or it is simply an concrete example of people of diverse backgrounds coming together when it comes to pro sports in general and the NFL in particular which makes a mockery of the charges made by the corrupt media, Goodell and others about Rush's divisiveness. If Soros and Rush can get together when it comes to Sports, anything is possible.

Soros should be given the boot after he "declared war" on the British pound years ago. But, I have to agree that if Limbaugh is given the boot for being a right wing idiot, Soros should have to go as well for being a left wing idiot.

@MattBahr9
Your arguement holds no water. Checketts donated a ton of money to McCain.
@SpartaChris and @TheBigOldDog
You both called me a hypocrite. Its time to put up or shut up. I admitted I never heard of Soros till this article, and said that he is obviously not the polarizing figure that Rush is. How does that make me a hypocrite? I said he has the right to be in the ownership group, the same as Rush has that right. I further said it is the right of Checketts to dump or admit anyone they wish into their group. I also said it is the NFL's right to accept or reject any bid for ownership they wish. Neither the ownership group nor the NFL need to give a reason why.
Time for you to prove your point that I am ignorant and hypocritical or STFU!
****
Not knowing who George Soros is, one the most important and influential people in American politics for decades proves your own ignorance. Let me help you:
ig⋅no⋅rant
  /ˈɪgnərənt/ Show Spelled Pronunciation [ig-ner-uhnt]
–adjective
1. lacking in knowledge or training; unlearned: an ignorant man.
2. lacking knowledge or information as to a particular subject or fact: ignorant of quantum physics.
3. uninformed; unaware.
4. due to or showing lack of knowledge or training: an ignorant statement.
Now let's move on to hypocrite:
hyp⋅o⋅crite
  /ˈhɪpəkrɪt/ [hip-uh-krit]
1. a person who pretends to have virtues, moral or religious beliefs, principles, etc., that he or she does not actually possess, esp. a person whose actions belie stated beliefs.
2. a person who feigns some desirable or publicly approved attitude, esp. one whose private life, opinions, or statements belie his or her public statements.
By being against Limbaugh because he is "controversial and divisive" and be for Soros one of the most divisive and controversial person alive today, shows you hypocrisy.
Now that you have had it explained to you by the numbers you'll take this is a "teachable moment" Obama likes to talk about and learn from it.
