Mendenhall expected to start vs. Browns

Despite being laid low Thursday by "flu-like symptoms" running back Rashard Mendenhall is now expected to start and get the bulk of the carries for the Steelers Sunday against Cleveland.

According to Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Mendenhall was back at practice Friday and looked "just as he did in the previous two games against the San Diego Chargers and Detroit Lions when he rushed for 242 yards and averaged 5.5 yards per carry."

Willie Parker, who's missed the last two games with turf toe, has practiced all week. So too has safety Troy Polamalu who's been out the past four games with that MCL injury.

Tom Curran, I think I love you. Thanks for posting football news on ProFootballTalk (what a novel idea!)--and great news at that. You just made my day off.

Give the whole team H1N1, dysentery, dehydration, syncope and a severe case of narcolepsy and they'll still beat the Browns.

Thank God. My only other option was Julius Jones for FF.

Oh, boy. Those big games against the Chargers(whose run defense stinks without Jamal Williams at NT) and the Lions. And now he's got the Brownies. Let's see what this lunkhead can do when they start playing some real defenses.

Easy Rhode Kill, the article said he would play, not end up in Canton.

LOL Dracula...I know man. Geez, cut the guy a break...he's still practically a rookie. He's showing a lot of promise now that he's actually getting the ball. The last thing I want Mendenhall doing is coming back and getting his early reps against the Vikes, Ravens, etc....LOL. Let him get his feet wet against the Chargers, Lions, Browns...GOOD! Take it easy on the guy, he's going to be just fine. And Rhode Kill, that's the thing about good run defenses...THEY DON'T LET GUYS RUN OVER 100YDS ON THEM...That's why they're considered good genius. What has Adrian Peterson done since week 1 against the Browns? He hasn't crossed 100 since. GB held him to 55yds on 25att!!! Just a little comparison...

Patiently waiting for "steeler-hater" to make an appearance.

/ Hint: it's Vox folks... (busted) acting out his inner sixth grader. Anyone surprised?

Good, no excuses when the Brownies upset em 20-17.

    Oh it's him alright.
Check out the earlier Mendenhall story for proof.
You'll also notice there hasn't been a peep out of him since.
What a tool. No wonder he wouldn't come clean.

Patiently wait for Florio's Lawyer to say something else asinine.

Hint: He doesn't know what the f**k he's talking about. See, his stupidity ain't just limited to football.

Ain't nothing worse than an extremely ignorant person who THINKS he knows what he is what the hell he's talking about.

Around here, you guys know him as Florio's lawyer.
