Report: Soros not a part of Checketts' group

Earlier this week, it was reported that George Soros is part of the group that Dave Checketts has put together in an effort to buy the St. Louis Rams.

According to Daniel Kaplan of SportsBusiness Journal, Soros isn’t.

So the question of whether Soros should be dumped as a tit-for-tat gesture that would balance out the dismissal of Rush Limbaugh from the group is moot.

Not surprising. Soros is a savvy investor, and thus wouldn’t want to throw his money away on the Rams.

Is that earpiece Rush wears a by product of his drug addiction ? The drug addiction where he was illegally trafficking in and abusing Oxycontin while bloviating and pontificating about low level drug dealers should all be locked up ? I thought so. He wears his hypocrisy in his ear, for all to see.

    not moot!
    just another typical leftist coverup

“Checketts’s ownership of hockey’s Blues is backed by, among others, TowerBrook Capital Partners, which was formerly known as Soros Private Equity Partners before it was spun off from Soros Asset Management Group in 2005.”

Niiiiice riff bearsrule. Too bad it had nothing to do with the post. People get addicted to pain killers all the time. Look at a lot of professional sports players after surgeries. You’re a tool who thinks its okay to make fun of these people just because you dont agree with their ideology. It can happen to anyone so have some compassion. If it was faggity kieth olbermann would you be saying the same thing?

Was there ever any evidence besides the blathering of right-wing idiots that Soros was involved in a bid for the Rams?

But he would on the St. Louis Blues? Givemeabreak! Where do you think Checketts money came from?

If Rush isn’t fit to own a team, the Nazi collaborator George Soros is most definitely not fit to own a team. Yes, he admitted on 60 Minutes that he pointed out who the Jews were as a boy in Hungary under Nazi occupation.

In 2004 Checketts and Soros went in together for College Sports TV. They tried to buy the Dodgers and went in together again for the Blues. Hence it would be very surprising NOT to have Soros involved and makes one wonder if that this story is actually true (they had to sign a confidentiality agreement) and if so is one of his many investments part of the group which would technically me Soros himself is not. Nothing in Checketts background would give him enough money to but a team or buy controlling interest in a team.
I also notice floorboy, unlike Huffington Post, MSNBC and CNN has yet to retract the quotes he has been posting about in regards to Limbaugh. Yes the other news agencies retracted their posts because their source could not provide proof.

Bearsrule, Rush has an ear implant due to an autoimmune disease dumbass. Nor did he traffic Oxycontin (which means selling). He became addicted to painkillers, as many people due especially in the NFL, after a back surgery gone bad. Have you ever had to recover from back surgery?

Oh no! Facts make reich-wingers cry, especially Lush’s Dildoheads! If there isn’t any conspiracy, then they just have to tighten up their foil helmets and create one.
Poor little delusional loser lemmings. Oh well, I’m sure Glenn Beck will be crying again on TV tonight…that should cheer you mopes up, right?

Yup. Good thing they’re not on the radio blowharding their way through endless hypocrisy by blabbing about how people who are doing the same thing should be locked up and the key thrown away, like Rush is.
    >>>>>You’re a tool who thinks its okay to make fun of these people just because you dont agree with their ideology.
    ———————————————
So then *you’re* cool with people whose “ideology” is “I can traffic and consume illegal prescription narcotics while standing on my soapbox in front of millions of people and calling everyone who does exactly what I’m doing criminals who should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Except I feel I’m above the law… ’cause it’s me, the greal El Douchebo.”
Dude, just own up to the fact that he did something hypocritical and that his attitude on the matter sucked. It ain’t the damn worse thing in the world. And if it makes you feel any better, I think Olbermann is a douchebag, too.

You list Daniel Kaplan as if he broke the story. I heard that Soros wasn’t in the Checketts group on Thursday on the Colin Cowherd show.

Reading some of the post on here has me very concerned at how divided as a nation we have become. I myself am 49 Y/O black AMERICAN who has listened to Rush since 1989 and in all that time I have NEVER heard him utter anything I would call racist. But the racist word has been tossed around so much these days it has lost its true meaning and is now used as a tool to silence good people. I find that some of the most racist statements made these days importunate come from other black Americans who are feeling emboldened by the election of Obama to the presidency. Google the comments Jay Z made on inauguration night about Obama and the many flat out lies from both Jesse Jackson & Al Sharpton. These men have a vested interest in keeping us white & black Americans at odds with each other because if we all got along they would be out of business. They are using Rush as just another tool to garner cash from their followers and telling such people that this country is still unfair even thought it was white Americans who put Obama in the White House. How ironic is that ?? We need to turn a deaf ear to race pimps and begin to reconnect with each other , Black, White, Brown & Yellow. I still believe this is the greatest nation on this earth, And nothing the race pimps do will change my point of view. God bless us all.

    NY POST
    Olbermann’s latest low blow – October 17, 2009
MSNBC uber-dork Keith Olbermann has done it again. The cable channel’s principal pontificator — in naming syndicated columnist Michelle Malkin “the worst person in the world” on Wednesday night — blasted her “total mindless, morally bankrupt, knee-jerk, fascistic hatred, without which Michelle Malkin would just be a mashed-up bag of meat with lipstick on it.”
AirAmerica.com blogger Megan Carpentier found Olbermann’s remarks more than slightly misogynistic, and said, “By attacking Michelle Malkin’s politics with an assault on women of every political persuasion, and then indicating a desire to see her physically harmed, a person might understandably get the idea that Keith Olbermann only respects women if they agree with him.” Maybe not even then.

I am an anarchist, and I still think that Rush Limbaugh is a big mouthed pile if dung. So is Keth Olbermann, both need to go.
However I do like Tony Romo and the COWBOYS!!

soros knows how to use cutouts, folks.
do ya know what the term “cutout” means?
it is from the intelligence community. soros is probly using several cutouts to get himself into the rams ownership picture.

jesse jackson has at least one illegtimate child, which came up while he was ministering to bill clinton re monica. and it has long been rumored he is on the cia payroll or that of other intelligence agencies.
    al sharpton… the tawana brawley hoax… freddy’s fashion mart (where a non-black died)… the duke lacrosse frame-up attempt…
rick sanchez… ran over a drunk pedestrian who later died. but the local cops loved him, so no charges (he reported on local crime).
olbermann? he doesnt ever take on the merits of what anyone says (like other rush critics). he just applies ad hominem attacks.
look who u are listening to, people.
    ////////////////////////
the left attacks the hell out of rush and sarah palin daily. do you know why? they cannot answer what they say. they fear them because they know they expose the left.
and for yall on the right – of course the left doesnt attack mccain or huckabee that much. they dont scare the left. mccain’s mind has rotten out. and huckabee has no guts.

Why people trying to pretend like its all natural for Rush to have been a drug addict? After back surgery…..for what, he doesn’t play a sport like the athletes being referred too…he was just FAT. Or maybe the boil on his azz that he claims prevented him from going into the military slid upwards?? LOL! Rush is just a pill-popping slug who takes those little junkets to the Dominican Republic…not for the scenery! Just sayin.
