James Davis has shoulder surgery

Browns running back James Davis, who allegedly suffered a shoulder injury while facing without pads a linebacker who wasn’t, underwent surgery to repair a torn labrum, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Davis will spend the next six months rehabbing and recovering.

Meanwhile the league continues to investigate the events leading to the Davis injury.  Multiple league sources and insiders believe that the allegations have merit — and that the Browns and coach Eric Mangini could face some type of consequence.
