The teams are getting dressed and stretching and warming up and doing whatever they have to do to get ready for tonight’s game.
Well, not everyone. Only 45 players per team will dress, plus an emergency quarterback. Here are the guys who’ll watch the game from the sidelines, in street clothes. (Unless they make like Jevon Kearse and scram.)
For the Chargers, the inactives are running back Michael Bennett, safety C.J. Spilman, center Nick Hardwick, center Tyronne Green, receiver Buster Davis, linebacker Antwan Applewhite, and defensive lineman Vaughn Martin. Charlie Whitehurst is the third quarterback.
For the Broncos, the inactives are receiver Kenny McKinley, linebacker-fullback Spencer Larsen, guard Seth Olsen, defensive lineman Chris Baker, tackle Brandon Gorin, receiver Brandon Lloyd, and linebacker Jarvis Moss. The third quarterback will be Tom Brandstater.
What a shock! Brandon Lloyd is inactive! This guy has been stealing money from day one.
