Giants-Saints one-liners

S C.C. Brown and CB Kevin Dockery were the Giants defenders exploited most often as the Saints rolled to a 48-27 victory.

Giants T Kareem McKenzie was carted off the field late in the first half, which may put the offensive line's 38-game streak of starting the same five players at risk.

Giants RB Brandon Jacobs yelled at Saints cheerleaders and later in the game appeared to challenge Saints DT Remi Ayodele to a fight.

After throwing an interception in the third quarter, Giants QB Eli Manning yelled at RB Ahmad Bradshaw for blowing a pass protection assignment.

Giants DE Osi Umenyiora refused to give the Saints offensive line any credit for the lack of pressure on QB Drew Brees.

The Saints became the fourth team in NFL history to win each of their first five games by a double-digit margin.

Saints TE Jeremy Shockey caught a touchdown pass and celebrated by riding an imaginary horse back to the sideline, but said he wasn't doing anything special because he was playing his former team.

The Saints defense forced a pair of turnovers, upping their season total to 15.

Saints QB Drew Brees didn't hesitate before answering "Yes" when asked if this was the best team he's ever been on.

Of the nine Saints skill position players that touched the football, only WR Devery Henderson and RB Pierre Thomas didn't score touchdowns.

This was quite the reality call for the Blue. It knocked and there was no answer. There's no question that the game exposed weaknesses in the injured secondary. But what's more troubling is the passive nature of the defensive scheme. Few blitzes... lots of zones. That's not NY Giant football.

Enjoy it, Saints fans. I have a feeling that this sudden showing of defensive respectability will end nezt year as Gregg Williams puts his name back to the top of the coaching hot-lists. You had better just hope it doesn't dominate all talk in te postseason.

I blame Tony Romo for all of it. Including Brandon Jacobs' increasingly obnoxious behavior, and Eli reverting to aw shucks McTurnover.
