Bears announce Cutler deal

Though the terms, as usual, have not been disclosed, the Chicago Bears officially have announced that quarterback Jay Cutler’s contract has been extended by two years.

Cutler is now under contract through 2013.

Full terms likely will be leaked or reported in the coming days.  So stay tuned.

By that time Brett Favre should be dead and the Vikings will be playing in L.A.

They had to lock him up before he gets too pissed off at Ron Turner’s ignorant/retarded play calling.
Cutler should have made firing Ron Turner part of the extension agreement.

Perhaps by 2013 he’ll grow a chin, shed some baby fat and stop looking like an overgrown toddler.
Nah, that is asking too much.

Give it time bear’s fans Cutler will start crying and blaming everyone else for the mistakes he makes…his 10 tds and 12 turnovers is just wonderful :-)

Good for Cutler. Now he can afford a tranny prostitute EVERY night. He might even have enough money to have some of the sand surgically extracted from his vage.

LOL @34_Fan I have no idea why Ron Turner failed at the college level then got another job at the pro level. His playbooks are so bland it’s no wonder the bears are struggling as much as they are. Look at Orton in Denver, he looked like a career backup at Chicago.

Another Angelo move that will come back and bite Shitcago in the ass. Well played, Jay.

When I can sit in my house in Arizona and know what plays are going to be called it’s not just bland, it predictably pathetic.
With any luck at all, both Turner’s will be unemployed next season, LT would like that too.

I am a big fan of this signing. It doesn’t look like they broke the bank to keep him in Chicago. He still has a lot to prove before they add the zeros. The kid still makes mistakes, but I think he will get better, and soon enough become a top QB in the league. His receivers are coming along nicely, and that has a lot to do with Cutler back there. He makes a lot of the throws Orton can’t. He also makes a lot of the throws Orton wouldn’t, and he gets picked. I’m extremely happy for Kyle in Denver, but we don’t have the D that would allow Cutler to to be more conservative back there. They give up points, so the O has to score some.
As a long time Bears fan, I am actually excited about the QB situation for once. Everyone has to understand what the Bears have been through under center and have to understand that’s why we are excited!
    ie.
Rex Grossman, Brian Griese, Chad Hutchinson, Jonathan Quinn, Craig Krenzell, Kordell Stewart, Chris Chandler, Henry Burris, Cade McNown, Jim Miller, Shane Matthews, Steve Stenstrom, Moses Moreno, Rick Mirer, Dave Kreig, Eric Kramer, Steve Walsh, Will Furrer, Peter Tom Willis
I just threw up a bit.

Well said, NYBearsFan.. that list of QBs makes us all pretty sick.
The Cutler rollercoaster is a little out of control, after both losses these boards and the media throw him under the bus.. after each win people are singing his praises. The guy’s got some serious talent, but makes some seriously bad moves… like the 2nd interception on Sunday night. That’s why signing him now is a decent move, he has yet to prove himself as the elite player that would command an Eli payday.
We all know he has an arm.. Until that TD/pick ratio picks up, particularly in the end zone, the offense is going to have problems.
By the way, Frank Omiyale f’n sucks. Why hasn’t Josh Beekman supplanted him yet? Sometimes I think the Bears commit to much to big free agent acquisitions. The rest of the line is far from perfect, but he is either holding false starting or getting beat on every play.

Now, if the Bears can just open their tighta*s wallet and surround the guy with some offensive talent.
