By now, Redskins coach Jim Zorn may be used to having his decisions questioned by his bosses.
One of his players is also happy to help. Cornerback DeAngelo Hall said that taking Jason Campbell out of Sunday’s loss was the wrong move.
“As far as the change of benching Jason in the second half, obviously
that didn’t work. So that’s not the change you need,” Hall said. “I think if I was the
guy, I would’ve left Jason in . . . I don’t think that was the right
move. Coach made that move. Ain’t nothing I can do about it. He made
that move, he had to live with it.”
Hall’s play this season, lovingly highlighted by Cris Carter Monday night, has been spotty. It’s probably never a bright idea to question your coach’s strategy, but it seems especially short-sighted from a player like Hall.
The good news for DeAngelo is he’ll have nothing to complain about this week.
Zorn has confirmed an earlier report from ESPN’s Matt Mosley that Campbell will start Monday night against the Eagles.
