Falcons eyeball running backs

Though safety Jamaal Fudge was signed by the Falcons to fill the roster spot created when cornerback Brian Williams (knee) landed on injured reserve, the Falcons might be thinking about adding a running back.

Four of them worked out for the Falcons on Tuesday:  DeCori Birgminghan, Antone Smith, Aaron Stecker, and Kenny Watson.

The move could mean that the team is concerned about the hip flexor injury that knocked Jerious Norwood out of Sunday night’s game against the Bears.

    As a Panther Fan I might shouldnt tell you this but Decori Birgmingham is a nice running back. He played for the Panthers in the preseason and didnt look that bad.(I KNOW ITS THE PREASON) I wish we could have kept him but no room since we have Williams, Stewart, and Mike Goodson.

    Hey Falcons, I think Jason David might still be available, if so PLEASE sign him before the Saints play the Falcons. It would be poetic justice to see Jason David torched by the Saints instead of while he is wearing a Saints uniform.
    Should be interesting to see the Atlanta “secondary” against Drew Brees and the Saints offense.

    Leave it to a Rams fan to even get a haiku wrong, the first line above has an extra syllable. Here’s one for LighTsouT:
    Rams are pitiful
    Will lose to Colts and Lions
    THAT’S realistic

    SaintsBucsPanthersSUKK-
    You da man bro!
    That being said, I choose to let my team do their talking with their play on the field. I watched the Bears game over again and boy does our defensive front really look like they are coming into their own! Secondary (especially now with the injury to Williams) still scares me. Houston and Grimes both can’t get their heads around because they bump the receivers at the line and then play catch-up the rest of the play! Decoud I doubt will have another 2 int day the rest of his career. If we can give the receivers space and let Lofton jack up the middle of the field, we should be ok! Coleman is a beast!!

    @atlantafalCANS
    I dig how the D-line has play the last 2 games against SF and Chicago. Jamaal Anderson seems to have found a home at DT with Kroy Biermann seeing plenty of time at DE. Too bad about the loss of Peria Jerry for the season but Thomas Johnson has done a decent job filling in. I haven’t seen much of DE Chauncey Davis or DT Trey Lewis recently but if the others are playing so well it’s all good.
    The loss of Brian Williams is huge, and the recent pickup of Tye Hill from the Rams has yet to yield positive results if it ever does. Domonique Foxworth didn’t get much play ’til the middle of last season at CB, so there’s still some hope. Too many 3rd down conversions are allowed, gonna come back and haunt us.
    GO FALCONS!
