With the trade market for nose tackles slower than a nose tackle trying to get off the couch after a three-hour nap, the New York Jets have opted to go the “slappy” route in replacing Kris Jenkins on the roster.
The team has announced that Jenkins has been placed on injured reserve due to a torn ACL suffered in Sunday’s loss to the Bills.
The Jets also announced that Howard Green, a veteran journeyman, has been re-signed. The Jets had released him on October 17.
The window for trades closed at 4:00 p.m. ET. It’s possible that deals have been sent to the league office but simply not announced yet. So stay tuned.
@Florio: what the heck is wrong with you, are you and Rex a couple or why all the JESTs posts

You have to love the deep respect Florio has for the athletes that have devoted the better part of their lives to playing a sport that puts bread on his table. I guess that Slappy if is a term of endearment for a guy who has probably played the sport since grade school and has extensive pro football experience (40 NFL games started)- something Mr. Florio will never have. But he will continue to belittle guys like Green.

That image is laugh out loud funny! Thanks Mike…I needed that today.
“slappy”???…….I’m betting it’s not a “term of endearment”.
‘ZombieRevolution’ is right….it’s just a bit too intentionally disrespectful. These ARE people after all.
…….But I still hate the Jets and hope he fails miserably!!!!!
