Texans check out a half-dozen tailbacks

The Houston Texans used Tuesday to take a look-see at a total of six running backs.

They were:  Lorenzo Booker, Thomas Brown, Julius Crosslin, Kyle Eckel, Allen Patrick, and Ryan Torain.

The Texans currently have three running backs on the active roster -- Steve Slaton, Chris Brown, and Ryan Moats.  Arian Foster and Chris Henry are on the team's practice squad.

The Texans also took a look-see at veteran linebacker Jamie Winborn.

Torain looked good with the Broncos, just can't seem to stay healthy. I never did figure out why the Broncos cut Winborn. He did a great job last year filling in when all the rest got hurt!

i think it's actually Allen Patrick and not Patrick Allen. he was with the Giants during the preseason and was on their practice squad up until week 2, i think.
