Get ready for more Fitzpatrick

Fans of Ivy League graduates playing in the NFL are in for a treat this weekend.

Harvard product Ryan Fitzpatrick is expected to start at quarterback for the Bills when they travel to Carolina Sunday.  It’s amazingly the third franchise Fitzpatrick will start for after being taken in the seventh round of the 2005 Draft by the Rams.

(Somewhere in Las Vegas, J.P. Losman just texted “WTF” to one of his buddies.)

The Bills aren’t ruling usual starter Trent Edwards out yet because of his concussion, but he wasn’t at the Bills facility Wednesday, and multiple outlets indicate that Fitzpatrick is likely to get the call.

Edwards has struggled this year, but the move to Fitzpatrick doesn’t figure to help Buffalo’s sagging pass game.  Fitzpatrick compiled some ugly numbers in Cincinnati last year, and tends to look for the vertical pass even less than Edwards.

In short, this move isn’t likely to help one of this year’s biggest underachievers: Terrell Owens.

Oh I feel sorry for you poor bastards in Buffalo…I had to watch this sap all year last year in Cincy. I hope this is the only game he plays for you or it will be a long season!

sooo, in my fantasy league we use 2 starting qb’s(we figure, what the hell, there is only 10 of us and 32 starters, 15 years and counting for this league). i have tom brady. here is the problem. i have a mixture of crap at my 2nd qb- kerry “-7 yds “collins, trent”i am terrible” edwards, ryan”i’m actually worse than trent edwards” fitzpatrick, and josh”i am getting benched soon” johnson.
fellow pft fans, i need help. who would you start….
    johnson vs. the pats OR……..
    fitzpatrick vs. the panthers…
yes, they are bad, but i have to play someone. feel free to laugh, but any opinions are welcome…just not florio’s, because he picked the skins ;)

Do not judge Fitzpatrick based on his performance against the Jets, because he obviously did not get many of the snaps in practice last week. It will be interesting to see what he can do against Carolina, with a full week of preparation.

The guy he’s texting is probably Jeff George.

At least Fitz doesn’t checkdown as often as Edwards, he’ll take shots down the field. He also has a little more awareness in the pocket.

Let’s hope Delhomme tries to “out suck” Fitzpatrick so the Bills get another win.

Is it Ryan Fitzpatrick or Patrick Fitzryan? Or both?

I am from Cincy and watched Fitzy all of last year. He made some great passes when he wasn’t running for his life.

Lucky for him and Bills fans that Carolina never does well VS. QBs making their first start of the season. Hopefully though this is the exception and Carolina can get back to 3-3.

    ***********
That old joke does not apply here since “Fitzryan” is not really a name. The actual punchline is Gerald Fitzpatrick and Patrick Fitzgerald.
Regardless, I’d love to hear T.O.’s thoughts on the situation.
