Titans, Vanden Bosch set to talk contract

Titans defensive end Kyle Vanden Bosch hasn’t had the contract year numbers he would have liked to this point in the season.

His team is 0-6, and he doesn’t have a sack yet since undergoing groin surgery at the end of 2008.

But those numbers won’t prevent the Titans and Vanden Bosch from talking dollars this weekend, when the two sides are set to speak about an extension, according to NFL’s Jason La Canfora.

Vanden Bosch hasn’t seen as many pass rushing opportunities this year with his team always trailing, but he recorded 16.5 sacks between 2007-2008 despite missing 6 games. He is second on the team among defensive linemen with 18 tackles in 2009.

    Give him a million dollars for every play he made last week.
    What a stupid time to talk extension.

    Who knows it may the perfect time to talk extension. Vanden Bosch’s career might be on the downside and now may be the best time to lock up some cash-o-la

    That is clever!!! Another fine example of throwing money away to solve a problem. Put everyone one a productivity bonus immediately!!!
    No production = no bonus
    Production = bonus rewards
    When the hell are the flamboyant owners going to schedule salary disbursements just like they do in their non-football business empires?
    Which team is going to lead the way? Go ahead take a step forward. Ahem……I said take a step forward. For those of you in favor of this payment policy change step forward. Ok, so you are a shy bunch I will ask one more time. Mr. Snyder and Mr. Jones go to the commissioners office for snickering at a meeting. Now as I was saying…………

    Titans would have been better trading him yeasterday… someone would have given a #1 and late picks…if you cant pay Albert — dont pay his wingman. He was a great signing for the cost from the Cardinals.. not a $10 million dollar DE

    Based on how the Patriots rookie tackle manhandled him he probably shouldn’t get too much money.
