Trade talk speculation focuses on Martellus Bennett

As league insiders try to divine the identity of the Cowboys player who supposedly was the subject of recent trade talks, the early speculation focuses on tight end Martellus Bennett.

At first, the speculation centered on Bennett and cornerback Orlando Scandrick.  But, currently, the signs are pointing to Bennett.

Bennett was a second-round pick in 2008.  He’s stuck on the depth chart behind veteran Jason Witten.

Earlier today, owner Jerry Jones disclosed that he received a trade offer for one of the team’s young players, but that Jones declined to do the deal.  Jones said that the offer was not made for one of the team’s three talented tailbacks.

If the insiders are claiming Bennett, who are they claiming was on the other end of the trade? Or are the insiders just your opinion?

Please continue with the updates, Florio. It’s an important story, and someone needs to keep it alive. In related news, my wife almost left me for a one-armed lesbian, but nobody cared, so I am still in play. Turns out she couldn’t verify her income. Thank God for lazy lesbians.

The Browns make sense for Bennett. They’re rediculously poor at the position and now Robert Royal is hurt as is Heiden.
They have a cast off and Erik Estrada manning that position now and no legit WR threat.

Wow, stop the presses! It’s not every day a “franchise” tight end gets traded.

Marty B needs to go somewhere, he is one sorry assed tight end, and it may not even be tight.

Ware Doesn’t Make any sense. He would command at Least two first rounders and a huge contract. I predicted, not even predicted just figured it was Bennett. He made the most sense and is good enough and drafted early enough recently to warrant a significant trade. No one else did on the cowboys offense.

What a coincidence. One of my favorite dreams have come true, the one where a bunch of bitter, ass-whipped lowbrows obsess over me to the point that they name themselves after me.

Yeah, anywhere else makes sense for bennett. Anybody who knows him knows that he doesn’t know the playbook. Romo has to line him up almost every play. Take him if you want him.Give us something good in return but take him. That comes from a devout Cowboy fan.
