The wait will be just a little bit longer before the long-awaited press conference in which Napa D.A. Gary Lieberstein addresses the media about Oakland Raiders coach Tom Cable.
Steve Bunner of KGO-TV in San Francisco reports that Lieberstein is now expected to hold his press conference at 6:30 p.m. ET, an hour and a half later than previously planned. But Lieberstein’s office says it will issue a written statement on Cable before that.
Former Raiders assistant Randy Hanson says his jaw was broken when Cable attacked him in August. Since word leaked of the incident, there has been speculation that Cable could be charged with felony assault or misdemeanor assault, or that he might not be charged with anything.
The speculation should end by 6:30 today.
That Cable even put himself in this situation is stupid. Assault is assault.
Is there a D.A. press conference in the history of the universe that ever started on time?
I’m pretty shocked that this is newsworthy enough for a press conference.
Cable’s defense should be he was trying to knock the pigeon that landed on Hansen’s shoulder
damn pigeon is everywhere
Derek Anderson is having a press conference? Wow! Can he string three sentences together?
Napa PD re-interviewed Hanson on Weds. Interesting that they would go to the trouble of a press conference to announce anything. Unless it’s to announce that they are not charging Cable and opening an investigation into why Hanson’s original statement doesn’t match what he told Yahoo Sports. Doh!

Stupid is as stupid does.
Isn’t that right, stupid?
