The Baltimore Ravens’ bye week comes at a very good time, given that quarterback Joe Flacco has a swollen ankle.
How swollen is it?
“I think he’s about four shoe sizes bigger right now than it was before so it’s really swollen,” coach John Harbaugh said Wednesday, according to Jamison Hensley of the Baltimore Sun.
Flacco didn’t practice this week, but he’s expected to be back when the team commences preparations for a November 1 visit from the Broncos.
“I could play today if we had to,” Flacco said. “It’s no big deal.”
Flacco has been a very bright spot for the 3-3 Ravens, who could be 6-0 but for three straight games in which late breaks didn’t go their way.
