Cotchery will miss Raiders game

Rex Ryan has another reason to prevent Mark Sanchez from throwing the ball too much against the Raiders Sunday.

The Jets announced Friday that Jerricho Cotchery will not make the cross country trip.  The Jets will also be without wide receiver Brad Smith and cornerback Lito Sheppard.

Sanchez threw five interceptions last week with only Braylon Edwards available as a quality option at wide receiver.

The gameplans for Oakland and New York could set football back a few eras with runs in every situation to prevent mistakes from their struggling young quarterbacks.  My PFT Pick for the game recognizes this is a dangerous game for the Jets, but ulitmately predicts that they won’t lose for the the second straight year in Oakland.

Well this means Nnamdi can give his undivided attention to Braylon Edwards. Sanchez is gonna be looking for Keller a lot when he does throw I’m gonna guess.

No need for Cotchery… there are plenty of Oakland DBs willing to play catch with…

My bias against the Jest notwithstanding…I don’t see them flying cross country and winning this game. Jesters fall to 3-4 after this week.

wasn’t this nearly exact sarcastic statement used an earlier post? Or worse, in someone else’s article from days back?
Quality stuff here at TMZ. Oh, I mean PFT.

Main reason why Ryan would avoid Sanchez throwing the ball this week is that the CB the raider have is an all-pro named Asomugha.

This game is shaping up to be a fat guy fistfight, and JaMarcus gives Oakland an extra fat guy and a decided advantage. Raiders, 11-9.
