What was relatively clear on Wednesday is crystal on Friday: Bills quarterback Trent Edwards isn’t starting this week.
Edwards missed his third straight practice Friday, clearing the way for Ryan Fitzpatrick to start for the Bills against Carolina.
Terrell Owens also surprisingly watched practice Friday; he hasn’t been on the injury report this week previously. It’s possible he’s just getting a day of rest, but Bills coach Dick Jauron will update the situation later Friday.
Safety Donte Whitner, like Edwards, also missed practice all week. Starting defensive tackle Kyle Williams may also be out for Sunday, which will make it even more difficult for the lightweight Bills to stop Carolina’s rushing attack. Carolina can move to 3-3 with the win.
UPDATE: Whitner and Edwards have been ruled out.

Brooks Bollinger has been tearing up the XFL or whatever you call that. Maybe the Bills should bring him in.
Williams is going to go this week, he was working with the first team today.
Not losing much if Owens can’t go. I’m pretty sure we can find some slappy to drop 80% of the balls thrown his way.
The T.O. blowup has to be coming soon! Looks like his career is coming to an end sooner than later..
Its official T.O. has lost his love for the game now that he is in Buffalo!!! its sad because now both the Bills and cowboys have no Big play receivers, so in the end result jerry jones loses, tony romo loses, and the bills lose even bigger
Terrell Owens, didn’t he use to play in the NFL?
Not entirely sure the Bill’s practice missed Owens.
Karma’s a b*tch, you put yourself there superstar.
Surprised T.O. wasn’t doing his usual conditioning drills – sit-ups in the driveway.
TO is resting up because the No Huddle offense takes a lot out of you.
