Four Patriots miss out on European vacation

The Patriots have landed in London, but it appears not everyone made the trip.

Running backs Fred Taylor and Sammy Morris, left tackle Matt Light, and wide receiver Julian Edelman weren’t spotted among the convoy of Patriots leaving Thursday afternoon.

Cornerback Darius Butler was the only player who wasn’t seen at practice Thursday, but did make the trip.  All of the players who didn’t make the trip have been out with injuries all week. Adalius Thomas, who was a healthy scratch last week, was also aboard the flight.

New England has carried five running backs all season, so they still have Laurence Maroney, Kevin Faulk, and Benjarvus Green-Ellis to carry the load against Tampa.  Of course, they may not choose to run very often.

Tampa Bay has given up more yards per pass than any team in the league.

…but they’re also giving up over 170 rushing yards per game, too.

Those guys are all out with injury so why would they make the trip? like Tuna would say… they aren’t running a tourist agency.

Who cares if 4 of the Patriots do not show up for this game. The entire Buccaneers team have not shown up for a single game this season, why should this one be different?

Hopefully this week and last will help our offense get back in synch for a really tough November with New Orleans, Indy, Miami and the Jest. Bring on BenJarvus Green-Ellis!!!!!!!!!!

No team is immune from injuries and that is a long trip. The banged up players will be better served hanging at the training facility and getting treatment.
No word on who Tampa Bay left behind? Or is it that no one really cares?

It’s a good thing Galloway isn’t going…he might get stuck in a round about much like Clark Griswold.

Yeah I think you need to adjust this story……
panthers only got 46 passing yards last week
    rushed for 267 yards.
So um yeah update this story……
If you are able to rush for 267 yards a game why in the world would you throw the ball and risk an interception.

I read this week that Tampa has been putting in the old Gruden offense and Sundays are the practice days to run it.

    European Vacation
Rusty Griswold: [watching the romantic couple make out at the table] Dad he’s grabbing her tits right there at the table!
Clark Griswold: Just eat your breakfast, Russ.
Rusty Griswold: [Rusty still watching the couple] … Dad, I think he’s gonna pork her.
Clark Griswold: He’s not gonna pork her, Russ.
Rusty Griswold: I think he’s gonna.
Clark Griswold: He may pork her, finish your breakfast.

“Look kids, Big Ben!” Good luck tothem getting into the left lane in the roundabout.
I almost feel bad for people going to the games in England, they have yet to have a REALLY good game. This one… won’t even be a contest! Too bad both Antonio Pierce and Rich Seymour can’t be commentators for the game… how great would that be?

At least the plane didn’t fly 150 miles past London.

    Benjarvus Green-Ellis. Wow.
As if the hyphenated last name isn’t a big enough curse, they had to name him “Benjarvus”. That makes me feel better about naming my first son “Pulsating Vulva”.

did anyone see the pic of the Pats boarding the team plane to London? Tom “Diva” Brady is the one and only person wearing a full suit and tie for a TRANSATLANTIC flight! It’s amazing the transformation that guy has undergone.

Maybe Galloway could have followed Brady around and banged two coconut halves together. But then he might have gotten caught up trying to rationalize to some french guys how he came about coconuts in England.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh Tom Brady had a TV interview before he left for the airport…..should h ehave worn sweat pants to that? Seriously…do some of you people have anything better to do than nitpick what Brady is wearing now? That’s just sad

  17. Adam-Chris Scheftersen says: Oct 23, 2009 1:25 PM

    Are you suggesting coconuts migrate?

  18. bspurloc says: Oct 23, 2009 4:53 PM

Bucs’ (171.7 rushing yards per game allowed)
Yeah the pats wont be running……….

A lot of the Brady haters are just jealous. One of the top quarterbacks in the league, is good looking, smart, married to the top supermodel. I am sure Tom really cares.
