Samuels' retirement decision up to four months away

In response to a report that Redskins left tackle Chris Samuels will retire due to a neck injury, we’re told that a final decision is not expected for three or four months.

Samuels is being evaluated by Dr. Robert Watkins, a Southern California spine specialist whose NFL patients include former Chiefs running back Priest Holmes.

Samuels, we’re told, has been experiencing numbness below the waist since injuring his neck two weeks ago.

Samuels was the third overall pick in the 2000 draft.  He is under contract with the Redskins through 2011.

    I CAN’T FEEL MY D*** I CAN’T FEEL MY D*** OH GOD NO!!!!

  2. Chris Samuels was to the redskins as Jonathan Ogden was to the ravens. He was the anchor and unfortunately injuries are the downfall of the games greats. It might take some years after he’s eligible for the hall of fame, but I think he’ll have his name called one day.

  3. Walk away Chris while you still can. You were a rock here in D.C. but the team sucks and will continue to suck for the next 40 years. Effin midget.

  4. Sakes alive, Chris! Call it a day. You’ve been a great Redskin. Don’t stick your neck out for this struggling team.

Its pretty sad that someone claiming to be a football fan would make a joke out of someone facing the possibility of being paralyzed.
I hope other bear fans stand up and tell you exactly where to stick it! You give others a bad name!
