Branden Albert will be game-time decision

The Chiefs will take their time before making a decision about whether or not left tackle Branden Albert will play on Sunday.

Albert sprained his ankle two weeks ago and missed last weekend’s win over the Redskins. He missed practice on Wednesday and Thursday, but was able to take part in a limited portion of practice on Friday.

“It’s probably going to go down to the wire with him,” coach Todd Haley said.

If Albert can’t start, Wade Smith would probably get the nod.

The Chiefs have allowed 22 sacks so far this season, tied with the Lions for the second-most in the NFL. Albert has been responsible for 2.5 of those sacks, according to a comprehensive breakdown performed by J.J. Cooper of AOL FanHouse. The biggest Chiefs offender has actually been tight end Sean Ryan who has been the guilty party on five takedowns. Per Cooper’s analysis, the Chiefs have charged Ryan with blocking opposing defensive ends with regularity, a role that doesn’t seem to suit him very well.

I think Wade Phillips although a big body is athletically well past his prime. In addition his head coaching duties in dallas might interfere with his preperation. Oh well ,maybe Lights Out will finally get a sack. Go Bolts!!!!!!
