Kevin Curtis gets knee scoped

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Kevin Curtis underwent arthroscopic surgery on his knee Saturday, and there are conflicting views of how significant his knee injury is.

"There wasn't too much in there that they had to work on," Eagles coach Andy Reid said. "They just snipped a few little things in there. It wasn't a major thing."

But while the team says there's a good chance Curtis will be back at some point this season, not everyone is so optimistic. Geoff Mosher of Delaware Online speculates that Curtis is done for the season -- and maybe done in the NFL for good.

That's a rather shocking bit of speculation regarding a receiver who's just two years removed from his best pro season, when he had 77 catches for 1,110 yards and six touchdowns in 2007. Last year Curtis missed half the season and this year he has just five catches in two games.

For his part, Reid is optimistic about Curtis returning to the field, saying, "I think time will tell here, but I think so. We'll just take it day by day here and see how he does."

Reid is less optimistic about middle linebacker Omar Gaither, who had what the team describes as successful surgery for the Lisfranc foot sprain. The Eagles haven't put Gaither on injured reserve, but Reid acknowledged, "it doesn't look good."

Maybe they can start the volunteer SPCA hero, who has always donated his time, effort and heart to animal causes his entire life, Lombardi6.

Oh, wait, what? He's never volunteered? He's just a Giants/Cowboys/Skins fan who has no problem sitting in his momma's basement pretending to have the moral high ground?

    Ok.

Lombardi 6, where in this article does it mention anything of Michael Vick? Quit your whining and just accept the fact that the man is playing football, making millions, while you're in the basement beating it to kiddy porn. Dumbass.
