A half-glass full type of person could be encouraged by the production of the Buffalo Bills' tight ends this season.
Derek Schouman, Shawn Nelson, and Derek Fine have combined for 210 yards, just five yards less than Terrell Owens. But like most positions in Buffalo this season, the group has had its share of injuries.
Nelson, a rookie, was downgraded to out Saturday after battling flu-like symptoms all week. Schouman, the team's starter, hasn't played since Week Two. The Bills will also be missing starting quarterback Trent Edwards, both starting safeties, and its starting right tackle.
Buffalo faces Carolina in a matchup of teams looking for a little hope after ugly starts to the season.

As you say, in addition to TE Shawn Nelson the Bills will be without QB Trent Edwards and both starting safeties, as well as, TE Derek Schouman and RT Brad Butler who are gone for the year to IR. However, the Bills will also be without other important players lost to IR for the year, including starting CB/KR Leodis McKelvin, starting OLB Kawicka Mitchell, backup MLB John DiGiorgio and backup MLB Marcus Buggs. They also might be missing starting DT Kyle Williams.
If Carolina can't beat these Bills. cut Jake, cut Fox, cut Hurney, trade Peppers. Sad.....
