Bears' Tommie Harris out vs. Bengals

Chicago Bears defensive tackle Tommie Harris is nursing a sore knee and will not play today against the Cincinnati Bengals, Jason La Canfora of NFL Network is reporting.

Harris was listed as doubtful for today’s game, so the news doesn’t come as a surprise. Harris missed all three practices this week.

There’s no indication yet that Harris will have to miss more than this one game, but the Bears have to be concerned about the player they paid a $6.67 million roster bonus in
March. Harris has had nagging injuries for much of his NFL career, but today’s game will be just the seventh he’s missed in his six NFL seasons.

The absence of Harris will be welcome news to Bengals running back
Cedric Benson, who will get to play against his former team without its best defensive tackle.

This is no surprise at all. Tommie’s been a very good player for the Bears, but he’s done.

Was the best defensive tackle a few years ago. Just more of a dead weight in there now – doesn’t give way but doesn’t move forward. Still makes him decent as a defensive tackle, but he plays because of his past performance and salary.
Benson will have 20 carries for 43 yards.
    Bears win in a blowout.
    Cutler for MVP 2009.

He just hasn’t been that good since he blew up his hamstring the year the Bears went to the Super Bowl. Boy was he good for a while though. Damn shame. With his penetraiting ability gone, he’s not big enough to be just a run stopper in Lovie’s defense. Maybe Tank would like to come back.

maybe if crybaby benson had played with the fire he is showing against playing the bears he would still be a bear.they gave him every chance to prove he was the player they drafted at #4 instead of the soft injury prone fumbler he played as.although he might have a carrer day today he will always be a loser to bears fans.

SmackMyVickUp – could you repost that last one?,…43 yards from Benson, cutler for MVP!
How about 187 yards and a TD from Benson and 3 picks by your boy Cutler.
Anything else Super Football Shot Caller?
