Dolphins linebacker Joey Porter was right about his team's plans for the Saints.
Miami knocked the 5-0 team from New Orleans off its high horse.
But then the Saints got back on.
After trailing 24-3 in the first half, the Saints have roared back, finally taking a 37-34 lead in the fourth quarter.
But a missed extra point on the touchdown that gave the Saints their first lead of the day has put the New Orleans lead at three, allowing Miami to force overtime with a field goal.
We'll break the game down in Monday's Morning Aftermath. For now, we'll simply enjoy what could be a memorable finish to a great game.
Saints complete comeback, but can they hold on?

Major props the Saints. The look unstoppable - right now.
Looking forward to the apolgy from Pervyharvin and his excuses.
40-34 now
i took the points so i need ted ginn to stop dropping the damn ball
I blame the dolphins receivers. I've counted 9 drops. huge.
Ted Ginn is a P.O.S.
saints got free TD at end of first half with fourth free timeout after review.
dolphins lost fair & square. can't execute for crap. saints deserved to win.
did I mention Ted Ginn is a POS?
Anthony Fasano sucks something else too

Saints are the undisputed best team in football right now IMO.
What I like the most is that they stuck with the gameplan and didn't totally abandon the run even though they were down by so much.
Sean Payton upped his stock for Coach of the Year today big time IMO.
Dude, you are a whiny little bitch. How many posts are you going to make about that TD? Explain the other 39 points.
@ texasPHINSfan:
Hell yeah! I think someone is paying Ginn to drop passes. Too many coincidental drops this year for my taste.
Fins totally gave that game away by not returning to the field after halftime. I don't know who those rejects were that they sent out, but it wasn't the same chaps from the first half. Totally disappointing game.
I would happily welcome the news that Ted Ginn Jr. was cut first thing Monday morning. No compensation, no excuses, just cut from the team entirely.
Miami is a #1 WR away from being a dominant NFL team. Yes I said dominant. Chad Henne is the real deal and the Miami offensive line is one of the leagues best. Their RB duo of Brown and Williams is in the NFL's top three.
Ted Ginn Jr cost them another game here. First giving Sharper the touchdown return that bounced off Ginn's hands (again)...and then when Miami was within 6 points and driving when Ginn takes his eyes off the ball to look up field, the ball bounces off his hands (again) and game over.
The Phins would be 4-2 right now if Ginn could hold onto the football.

No matter how many times you post it was called an offical review. In the end they didn't even need that td. quit your bitching and take your demoralizing defeat and go home.
How many points does a team have to spot you before you can win?
Florio, Mike Bell Trucked Channing Crowder several times.
Great 28 minutes of football Fins...Too bad there were another 32 minutes to play. What a f******g collapse....Dolphins receivers again prove they don't belong in the NFL not as starters at least and the D shows again they have a looong way to go.
Seeing Crowder get lit up was great. Twit this crowder!!! SHUT YOUR MOUTH!!!! Every time you open it your foot goes right in.

The ruling on the field was a TD on that play. The officials called for an official review and therefore the clock stops. The officials ruled that the player was down at the 1 yard line (took the TD AWAY from the Saints) and that the ball would be placed at the 1 yard line and the clock would start when the ball was set for play. The Saints looked like they would kick a Fg sent the offense out, and I think Miami called a timeout. So, all in all, the Saints had a TD taken AWAY by replay, got to play the next play (regardless of whether there was a Miami TO) and scored a TD.
End result, Saints win............again!
crowder needs a new 1st name. or else people will keep saying he likes show tunes.
Fins are a good team...you gotta look to the coach after giving up 2 huge leads at home to loose them both (Colts/Saints). Ricky Williams is a stud!
The Saints look like the class of the NFC, if and when the Saints and Vikings meet, I'm afraid my Vikings will have there hands full. Saints v Colts Super Bowl would be mindblowing entertainment.
Stop whining fins fans. Your team played hard, but the coaches let you down like Payton let us down in the 1st half, luckily he recovered. Payton abandoned the run early, going with 3 consecutive empty backfields at one point (on a 3 and out) after Miami showed they could get to Brees. Pierre Thomas had 3 carries in the 1st half, Bell had none. The Saints wised up after halftime and ran the ball giving Brees a chance to regain his composure. For some reason, with a hug lead Soprano started passing the ball (and thank you for that). Ginn dropping the ball is irrelevant as Ricky should have been fed the ball over and over again until we proved we could stop it. Also, Soprano called that timeout at the end of the half, which allowed us to get a TD. The Saints showed they can handle any adversity, even a replay booth not working and pull it out. It was also a great game because I think people are starting to see just how good Porter and Greer are, they have played like Pro Bowlers all year.
Kevin-B we need more intelligent comments like yours and lose some of the idiots who always trot out their over-simplified excuses as to why their team lost.
Today, it wasn't just Ted Ginn. But he will undoubtedly be the whipping boy of the moron brigade.
Geaux Saints now let's go get little Matty Ryan and the Fal..Cons.
This reminded me of that meltdown to the Jets on a Monday night.
You know it is bad when your team is up by 21 points and you are nervous about winning the game. lol
Ginn is not the answer, demote his ass to 3rd string and send him across the middle. If he is going to drop the ball at least he'll have an excuse when the middle LB lights his ass up. :)
Wtf is up with Fasano. Either he drops the ball or if he does bring it down, he fumbles it. /sigh
Major props to the Saints. They could have folded, but they hung in there and showed great character.
