Edwards already out for Week Eight

Ryan Fitzpatrick will get a chance to lead the Buffalo Bills to a third straight improbable victory.

Bills coach Dick Jauron has already ruled out usual starting quarterback Edwards from Sunday's game against the Texans.  Buffalo has a bye in Week Eight, and the team may be playing it safe to get Edwards as much rest as possible.

"That's the, as far as I understand it from [head trainer] Bud [Carpenter] and our doctors, that's the proper protocol," Jauron said.  "That's the conservative approach and the approach we'll take."

Perhaps the Bills also don't want to mess with what's working.  Okay, Fitzpatrick's numbers in two games are actually JaMarcus-like (45% completions, 5.1 yards per attempt.)  But he hasn't screwed things up too badly with the Bills defense forcing turnovers like crazy and setting up short fields.

Jauron refused to say Edwards will start when he's fully healthy.

"We'll cross that bridge when we come to it," Jauron said.

Looks like Posluzney was exactly what this team needed. He's the Bob Sanders of the Bills. Take him out the D crumbles. Put him in, everyone else plays better.

At this point, if I was Jauron, I would rule Edwards out indefinitely. They blow with him under center, atleast Fitzpatrick is putting up wins......

Didn't Edwards have a concussion? It's better to be safe than sorry with that injury. The Bills will hopefully have Edwards for years going forward.
