The Redskins can’t stop him. A foot injury might.
Eagles receiver DeSean Jackson, who scored two long touchdowns in the first half of Monday night’s game, is undergoing an x-ray on his foot, according to Brian Seltzer of ESPN 950.
Jackson scored on a 67-yard reverse during Philly’s opening drive, and caught a 57-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Donovan McNabb on the Eagles’ final drive of the second quarter.
UPDATE: Apparently, the x-rays were negative, because Jackson is back in the game.
They are trying to figure out how he is so damn fast
He didn’t have an injury before the game so….. looks like we did stop him.
or not.
The idiot looked like he got hurt while dancing after the touchdown. I hope I’m wrong, but look at the replay and you will see him dancing. If he was hurt on the play, I can’t imagine him dancing afterward. If ESPN didn’t suck so bad, they may have shown the dance and we would know.
Fox did the same thing with Chad OchoCinco yesterday. What gives on that? Some of us like the entertainment after touchdowns. Show it!
he’s back in. this isn’t even a story florio. you mad dumb son.
“Apparently, the x-rays were negative, because Jackson is back in the game.”
Your analysis is astounding…
A foot injury stop D-Jax? Unpossible!
Got in late and started watching the game on DVR while scanning posts. Saw this headline and kept expecting to come to some horrible moment when Jackson went down. But when I finally caught up w/the live broadcast, there he was, looking just fine.
Brian “Seltzer,” huh? Didn’t he used to play a wild guitar for the Stray Cats
“Sack Sandwich yum yumyum yum yum yum yum, Football and cheesesteaks thats what philly does!”
Like Ive said for the last 3 weeks in a row. Bill Belilchek doesn’t get rid of players for nothing unless theres a good reason. So the Eagles should have known there was a reason why he was willing to give up Ellis Hobbs when he already didnt have enough talent at cornerback. He SUCKS. He miss tackles, blows coverages, cant return kicks anymore, gets to many penalties, doesnt go full speed, and wont make a hit he waits for the offense to come to him instead of him going after them. He just isnt a quality player and I think the Eagles would be better off with Demps returning kicks and with 1 of there practice squad guys playing dime backer.
O ya and Ted Daisher is the worst special teams coach in team history. Cleveland was good when he was there b/c they were good not b/c he was a good coach. And thats why there still good (at special teams) and why philly has gotten alot worse.
Route36,
I couldn’t agree more with you on Hobbs.
Not sure on Daisher yet. But Hobbs is garbage.
If McNabb could throw an accurate pass he wouldn’t have had to twist around so damn much.
Indyeagle-
I agree with you. I also thought he got hurt when he was doing his jig. I wish they had looked into that even a little to see if it was indeed the case. It wouldn’t surprise me if he did. Nobody has ever accused DeSean Jackson of being smart.
However, I disagree with you about showing these clowns dance. There’s no place for that.
Anyone else get the feeling McNabb doesn’t like DeSean Jackson? He never throws his way unless he has to, and he was feeding the ball to Maclin all night. Look at the targets report. Kolb threw his way a bunch of times when he started. McNabb only threw his way a lot the week after Jackson had 1 catch for 1 yard. And some of the throws his way last night were terrible. Granted, McNabb is overrated and his accuracy sucks, but he’s got to do a better job.
And yes, I have DeSean Jackson on my fantasy team. lol
