Haley: "Not a suspension at this time"

Chiefs coach Todd Haley didn’t say much about Larry Johnson at his Tuesday press conference, referring to the team’s released statement and the comments Haley already made on Monday.

The Chiefs and the NFL will continue to investigate Johnson’s inflammatory statements before decided what to do with him.  In the meantime, Haley said that Johnson’s banishment from the team facility is “not a suspension at this time.”

Asked if a suspension could come, Haley said that there are a “lot of possibilities.”  One could simply be to reduce Johnson’s playing time, even if he is an active member of the team again.

Haley spoke of backup running back Jamaal Charles starting to “get it” during the season, and the Chiefs could activate Kolby Smith off the physically unable to perform list after the team’s bye.  It would be hard for the duo to produce less than Johnson has this season.

Todd Haley has absolutely no guts and commands no respect if he doesn’t suspend L.J. indefinitely for conduct detrimental to the team now. L.J. is a classless loser who can’t gain more than 2.5 yards a carry and shouldn’t be on an NFL roster at this point regardless.

LJ is circling the drain in KC, and moreover, the NFL. Although I’m sure Al Davis or Jerry Jones can “rehabilitate” him…

That gurgling sound you hear is Todd Haley, in about 18 feet over his head as an NFL Head Coach. With all the coaching talent that was out there, the Chiefs decided to go out and hire the latest Flavour of the Week Offensive Coordinator, a guy who wasn’t on anyone’s radar even a month before his hiring. Brilliant.

I agree 120%. This guy didn’t even get the most out of the Cardinals, the friggin Cardinals with the best WR’s in the league, as their OC last year.
But he may not be a shoo in for the worst Head Coach of the year award. He has very serious competition from Raheem Morris (one and done if there is a God in this world), Eric Mangenious, and two creatures who masquerade as Head Coaches, GM’s and Owners, Al (is he reallly still alive) Davis, and Danny-boy ( the entire city of Washington, the suburbs, the Congress and all loyal Redskins fans are praying for him to sell the team) Snyder.
So as bad as Haley is he may not be the worst HC this year.
Hey Florio picked the Redskins to go to the Super Bowl this year, and KC (are you shitting me) beat them.

    @ Brewster
    I shit you not!
As far as this article goes — Yeah, it’s not really a suspension, but it’s not really about using the word Fag. This is about Johnson running his mouth about stuff that every other player on the Chiefs is thinking.

I wonder what ever happened to freedom of speech? I served the USMC for 6 years to defend that right. Johnson is guilty of exercising his freedom of stupidity, and he should be treated as such. If someone is offended by what the idgit says, don’t support his team, but get off this PC bandwagon.
