And it won't be easy, given that the 4-2 Falcons are coming to town.
The task gets a little harder for the Saints as of right now. Per a league source, the Falcons are signing former New Orleans running back Aaron Stecker today.
Stecker was a member of the Saints organization from 2004 through 2008, and he was with the team for the first three years of coach Sean Payton's tenure.
So even if Stecker doesn't play, he knows the offense well -- and he can help the Falcons get ready to deal with it.
Stecker isn't going to help, the Saints drop 40 on the Falcons this week.
Won't make any difference unless the falcons hired stecker to apply a 2x4 to drew brees' knees. I think Sean Payton goes nuts and authorizes the 50+ point spot on the falcons. Let the country know "who dey" really is....
Sean Payton needs to know that Saints fans have a very long memory when it comes to the Falcons and that there is no blowout too big to put on the Dirty Birds!
If the Saints are in position to pour it on......POUR IT ON!
I think the Falcons are a pretty good team and the game could be close, but if we can blow them out, blow them out!
Why didn't the Dirty Birds bring in Jason David? They just lost a safety to injury and lost a starting corner for the season. David is a "pretty good cover corner" and could have helped out their secondary. He could have started the game and played every snap opposite Colston - one on one. Saints would score 100 points for sure.
Tampa...home of censorship!
well Dallas scored 37 against the Falcons ... looking at the way the Saints are playing, 45 wouldn't surprise me lol
Atlanta fans
Please bring a larg towel to dry your tears as you know the Superdome is easily flooded!!!!
Who dat gettin' the big head?
Exactly.
Time to give the Aints a loss.
Why not Deuce McAllister? Is he totally washed up?
You know, as much as I respect the Saints as a team and I'm glad for New Orleans as a city... and as much as I don't think my Falcons have the defense to stop the Saints... I'm still hoping for a win to shut these big-headed trash talking Taints fans up.
grendel:
Some Saints fans talk trash, but when it comes to the Falcons it just comes down to the fact that we don't like your team. We have a long history of getting beat by you guys when you had crappy teams and ours was even crappier.
History:
1978 - Atlanta Falcons vs. New Orleans Saints: The Falcons beat the Saints 20-17 on a "Hail Mary" pass from Steve Bartkowski to Alfred Jenkins. The play was known as "Big Ben."
Also in 1978 - Later in the season, the Falcons beat the Saints again on the final play of the game after a failed "Hail Mary" pass when the Saints were called for pass interference. The Falcons scored on a run from the one-yard-line on the next play. The play became known as "Big Ben II."
I am just glad you guys gave up on Brett Favre. I could not have taken getting beat by a "local" for so many years.
