Eagles replace Gaither with running back

Almost one week after announcing that linebacker Omar Gaither was out for the season, the Eagles placed him on injured reserve Wednesday.

Gaither's replacement on the roster is revealing; the team signed running back P.J. Hill off New Orleans' practice squad.  Eagles coach Andy Reid has refused to rule out Brian Westbrook for this week's game after his "severe concussion" but Hill's signing is a clear indication Westbrook is unlikely to play.

Hill, an undrafted rookie from Wisconsin, is known as a power back that lacks receiving skills.  He could potentially help on special teams and in short yardage situations.

OR, they will grill the kid so that they know more about the Saints if they should meet later in the year........

Why is it so difficult to "think outside the bun?"

    Shout out to Taco Bill.....

andy reid is an idiot... we all know westbrook isnt playing this week... Just like how mcnabb wasnt ruled out with a broken rib.. yayy good one, mcnabb and westbrook always get injured, i luv seeing eagles lose every year and espcially this year when yankkees beat the phillies, its going to be a double slap in the face..

Hey McNabb, you always seem to choke in the big game, is it because your black?

    AP TODAY

"WASHINGTON -- NFL commissioner Roger Goodell would not acknowledge a connection between head injuries on the football field and later brain diseases, while defending the league's policies on concussions before Congress. Under sometimes-contentious questioning from lawmakers -- and suggestions about reconsidering the league's lucrative antitrust exemption(Maxine Waters) -- Goodell sat at a witness table Wednesday alongside NFL Players Association head DeMaurice Smith."

This guarantees that they will NOT let Westbrook play this week.

Hey Gurp, you always seem to leave a douchbag comment, is it because you're distracted while cornholing the family dog?

Uhh....first of all, the Yankees are an overrated hype machine. Phils win the series in 5. Second, McNabb and B-West seem to be prone to injury, yet they always produce each season. Third, racist remarks aren't going to help prove your baseless point, nor will your tenuous grasp of the English language. It's "you're" not "your." That's fine, though. I'm sure you were busy huffing glue when your peers learned that in 3rd grade.

Wow, Gurp Badesha, whatever the hell that means. You're spewing a lot of hatred. Is it because you got picked on a lot as a kid? Probably, look what I found:

    Name: Gurp Badesha
Age: 22 Favorite Professional Team:: NY Giants
NFL Player You'd Most Like to Meet: Vince Young
    Professional Gaming Experience: One year
Madden Team of Choice: Atlanta Falcons
Expectations for Finals: Win it all

Apparently Gurp is a prequalifier for this:
Microsoft Xbox 360: Canadian EA Madden Challenge

Congrats butt munch. Yeah, I bet you're a real ladies man.

And by the way, you used "your" wrong. You should have used "you're." Maybe you would have learned that if you weren't stuffed in that school locker all day.

Maybe the Eagles can knock the Giants out of the playoffs again. And go Phillies. Yankees fans are tools.

Should of signed Warrick Dunn. He can do more than that Westbrook can do

We all have teams we don't like but what the hell is this guy Gurp talking about? That last line was just plain ignorant.

For all you morons out there... Andy reid would never publicly say that Westbrook is out until the last minute. He will be a "game-time decision," but Reid knows that Westbrook is gonna sit. But he needs to keep the Giants on their toes. If this was any other opponent he would rule Westbrook out right away. But he wants to try to milk this injury to give the Giants something to think about.

Just had to comment and say:

How 'bout that Cliff Lee! We embarassed you New York punks tonight in your own house, going up 2-o tomorrow and gonna put your overrated, overpayed, roided-out team to sleep in Philly in 5 games - or, like Jimmy Rollins says, 6 if we're feeling nice!

(We now return you to your regularly scheduled who-gives-a-crap-about-baseball. Go Phils.)
