Eagles replace Gaither with running back

Almost one week after announcing that linebacker Omar Gaither was out for the season, the Eagles placed him on injured reserve Wednesday.

Gaither’s replacement on the roster is revealing; the team signed running back P.J. Hill off New Orleans’ practice squad.  Eagles coach Andy Reid has refused to rule out Brian Westbrook for this week’s game after his “severe concussion” but Hill’s signing is a clear indication Westbrook is unlikely to play.

Hill, an undrafted rookie from Wisconsin, is known as a power back that lacks receiving skills.  He could potentially help on special teams and in short yardage situations.

OR, they will grill the kid so that they know more about the Saints if they should meet later in the year……..

    AP TODAY
“WASHINGTON — NFL commissioner Roger Goodell would not acknowledge a connection between head injuries on the football field and later brain diseases, while defending the league’s policies on concussions before Congress. Under sometimes-contentious questioning from lawmakers — and suggestions about reconsidering the league’s lucrative antitrust exemption(Maxine Waters) — Goodell sat at a witness table Wednesday alongside NFL Players Association head DeMaurice Smith.”

This guarantees that they will NOT let Westbrook play this week.

Should of signed Warrick Dunn. He can do more than that Westbrook can do

For all you morons out there… Andy reid would never publicly say that Westbrook is out until the last minute. He will be a “game-time decision,” but Reid knows that Westbrook is gonna sit. But he needs to keep the Giants on their toes. If this was any other opponent he would rule Westbrook out right away. But he wants to try to milk this injury to give the Giants something to think about.
