People who say Reggie is a bust doesn’t know football, or ever watch him play
I watch him, he isnt that great, if he was a wide reciever or got switched to that postition then no he isnt bad, but if he stays at running back he is another Michael Vick, great athlete playing out of position, he cant run the ball like a professional running back, he was hyped as the next Marshall Faulk, i dont think he is an attention hog, but he is VERY wrong on thinking he will win MVP unless he changes and turns into Brian Westbrook overnight, that is the guy i thought he would be like, so far he hasnt, as for the Saints, they look like the best team, it is hard to go undeafted in this league though, the patroits tried and lost the big game.

To all the Reggie Bush haters I for one as a Saints fan am proud he’s a Saint and though he’s well paid he don’t act like a diva this is a team and plays the way the coachs ask him to (decoy) receiver, running back without complaining like some you do!!!!

I’ve read a couple of your posts on this, and nowhere is there a quote from Reggie claiming to be the best player in the league. Why don’t you make sure of your facts before making yourself look like an IDIOT!!! Don’t hate beacause he made your team look like the bumbling losers that they are with a 16 foot diving acrobatic touchdown. I have never seen a team as incapable of using its most talented player consistently as the Saints. They use him as a decoy more than anything else. Notice when they complete a long ball down the field, or over the middle that Bush has a linebacker, and/or a safety, tracking him, which opens up the field. When they call a play for him straight ahead, he always gains yardage. The only time they give him the ball are on long tosses with only wide receivers blocking for him. Those 10-15 yard runs by Thomas and Bell would be 30-40 yard runs if the same plays were called and the same holes were opened up for Bush. Us long-time Raider fans know that the really explosive backs will lose yardage, or gain very little, on several plays in a row before busting a long one. Unfortunately, Bush gets a few carries and when he doesn’t break one, he’s deemed a failure. Kind of not fair.

I agree. The guy has delusions of grandeur. As I wrote:
“Reggie Bush likes him some Reggie Bush. It comes from being an over hyped USC player.”
The guy thinks he is better than what he is. But that doesn’t discount that he is pretty damned good and does present some major match up problems when he comes out of the backfield as a receiver. MVP…..Never, HOF…….Not a chance, Productive player who helps his team win……. Without a Doubt!
The big question is whether he will take a pay cut next year to stay with the team, because no way do I pay the guy more than Drew Brees. He may be trade bait next year if he doesn’t take a pay cut.
And yes, the Saints can go undefeated. I don’t think they will, but I also didn’t think they would win the Miami game when they were down 24-3.

No, that’s not what he said. He said he will win an MVP, Super Bowl, and go to the Pro Bowl. What’s wrong with that? Would you rather him not expect to be great. Should he just give up now?
Stop hating on Reggie because you wish your team had him. If the Saints cut Reggie right now, there would be a royal rumble of 30 teams wanting his services.

I dont know if the media went to him to be interviewed or if he found some way to be interviewed because he noticed that no one gave a damn about his contributions to this team until he leaped into the endzone, which by the way is the only thing he can do well (now if he could only do it more often). This guy is an attention whore and will do anything for the publicity and when he noticed that the team is playing well without him contributing too much he obviously didnt like it and wanted to make sure people didnt forget about him

He’s about the 5th most important person on their offense. And he complains about the criticism…well…you were draft #2 overall….as a runningback….and you stink at running the ball. Exactly what I was thinking! Given the Saints’ accomplishments this year, you’d think they could interview a more accomplished player.
His answer to “could you go undefeated” was appropriate–the Broncs and Colts should be thinking the same way. But the stuff about himself, considering his disappointing career thus far … well, maybe it’s positive thinking but it comes across as delusional and egomaniacal. He needs to focus on achieving greatness instead of achieving stardom.

People who say Reggie is a bust doesn’t know football, or ever watch him play. Even when he doesn’t touch the ball, he makes an impact on the game by affecting defenses.
2006 : 1300 yds and 9 td’s
2007 : 970 tds and 6 td’s
2008 : 844 yds and 9 TD’s (in only 10 games)
2009 : 319 yds and 3 TD’s
This is the first year he hasn’t produced much, and that’s because our offense is so good, everybody is open downfield. Does he complain? No! He just does what he can, which is score 2 td’s over 9 attempts in two games.
Is he as good as the hype? maybe not. But I blame the idiots who bought into the hype before he played an NFL snap.
Is he a bust? Absotely not, and if you believe so, you my friend are a moron.

undeafted, wont happen, no one will do that….super bowl, i could see since they are a great team, Bush MVP if that happens then the Redskins go to the playoffs, Jamarcus Russell throws 8 touchdown passes in one game and the Memphis Grizzlies are the best NBA team, sorry but the MVP for the Saints is Brees, Bush isnt even the best running back on his team.

he’s got three touchdowns for the year, just like practically everyone else on the Saints. the only person with more is Marques Colston with five.

Reggie Bush likes him some Reggie Bush. It comes from being an over hyped USC player. Is he overpaid? Yes. Was he drafted higher than what would be warranted based on his draft position and production as a player? Yes.
Is he a bust, meaning that he is no good? No. Can he make plays that few players can make? Yes. (Did you see the TD against the Dolphins where he launched himself into the air from the six yard line and stretched his right arm and ball over the pylon? Maybe two or three other NFL players could do that!)

And on the question of “can” the Saints go undefeated? What do you expect him to say? No, we can’t? They have not lost a game yet. Only three teams, as of now, “can” go undefeated in the 2009 season. The other 29 teams have all lost a game. If the Saints take care of the Falcons this week, convincingly, then multiple media types will be speculating as to whether the Saints can or will go undefeated. The schedule lines up for them and if they keep winning they will be favored in every game they play. And will be favored by double digits in most of the games.
When you look at the Saints running backs consider that they are paying and playing three backs, Bush, Thomas and Bell. And when you consider their backfield as a whole they are not overpaying for the package. They are just overpaying one guy.

Let me begin by saying I am a diehard Who Dat for more than 40 years. What everyone doesn’t realize is that Reggie pulls double teams from Colston, Shockey, Moore & Devery Henderson. I understand he is an expensive decoy. But, the man DOES produce. Now I also realize, as his cap number for next year will be more than Drew; he will most likely be gone from the roster. Reggie never made the hype, the hype came from the media. They dubbed him the next…(whatever they were dubbing him). Has he met those lofty expectations? You tell me, how can a 5’10″ 180lb running back rule the league??? Think about it!!!
