Back in the New York groove

So it’s my third straight weekend — and fourth this month — making the trek to 30 Rock for halftime of the Notre Dame game.

Tomorrow night, the Irish play Washington State in San Antonio in prime time.

Of course, some of you might be tempted to watch a football game involving two West Coast teams or, even worse, a baseball game.  But there’s only one place to see Notre Dame football, and it starts on NBC at 7:30 p.m. ET.

Besides, Joe Buck won’t be talking about the pro football (or checking his first or second favorite web sites) during the seventh-inning stretch.  But at halftime of the Notre Dame game, you’ll get to hear Peter King, Jimmy Roberts, and yours truly discuss several key issues heading into Week Eight of the 2009 NFL season.

I used to love this website. But now, with all the extra people you’ve got, I have to say, you’re approaching ESPN territory. SAD……….Which one of these three is not the real journalist? Peter King, Jimmy Roberts, and Mike Florio.
Please take out your personal vendettas and just start reporting “news”, or real news. Thanks.

Do they force you to attend Notre Dame games as punishment for some unmentionable act?

Honestly, Jimmy (Don’t call me Robin) Roberts looks like a flamer.
    He MUST be Pierre.

The last thing I want to see on my TV is some hack lawyer with very little football knowledge talking about football.

Why does it seem like Notre Dame plays at home every weekend? Even when the Irish play on the road they are at home (as it is this week).
You must have like 5 more trips left to New York for Notre Dame home games and that doesn’t even include the Papajohns.com Bowl, in which the Irish will no doubt be the home team.

Noter Dame is aweful. NBC is fine, whatever. But every mention of that second rate, hypocritical ‘institution’ makes me less and less likely to remain a supporter of this site. Their ongoing sham is not worth your trouble.

So Nunnes, your suggestion is that a forum titled “RUMOR mill” should only report “NEWS”???????
I too used to love this site…..until it was overwhelmed by people such as yourself that only post to complain (much like I’m doing…I hate me!!).

gee mike, the phillies and the yanks in ther series, or you at halftime of the notre dame game….
    now there’s a dilemna…
p.s.: every other website recognizes me each time after i register. while you’re in new york, ask nbc for a website guy. it would take him about 10 mins. and probably increase traffic (which has been your schtick all along).

hunnes: i personally have read more of florio than of jimmy roberts. peter king i read weekly. but the point has some merit mike. a little less of the crap that feels like the first paragraph of something that takes you to “ESPN insider”…..

Wow….The overrated overhyped Irish vs. the 1-6 Wash. State Cougars….What a ratings bonanza…..You might actually lose hits on this one…….
