Dockett tweets: Don't fine Bradshaw for hitting me

Arizona Cardinals defensive tackle Darnell Dockett has had a fun time tweaking New York Giants running back Ahmad Bradshaw on Twitter this week.

It all started on Sunday night, when Bradshaw hit Dockett in the facemask and was flagged for a personal foul. After the game, Dockett went on Twitter and compared Bradshaw to Glass Joe, the weakest character in the old Mike Tyson’s Punch-Out video game.

Today it was reported that Bradshaw was fined $5,000 for hitting Dockett, and now Dockett has taken to Twitter once again.

“Please NFL & Commisioner don’t fine Giants RB Ahmad Bradshaw $5,000 for throwing a pillow at me,” Dockett tweeted today. “My 3yr old son hit harder, please REFUND.”

Dockett isn’t the first player to tweet a request to the commissioner not to fine an opponent: Bengals wide receiver Chad Ochocinco tweeted two weeks ago that NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell shouldn’t fine Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis for leveling him with a helmet-to-helmet hit.

But Goodell didn’t listen to Ochocinco’s request — Lewis was fined $25,000 — and Bradshaw shouldn’t count on Goodell giving him a refund, either. Dockett’s tweets this week sure have been amusing, though.

    Thank goodness for Twitter :)
Never has there been a more entertaining (or quicker way for an athlete to break down) venue on the internet.

Did Halloween come early or what? NFL handing out treats left & right. “Browns Maiava fined…,Colts’ Lacey fined…,Cardinals’ Brown & Rolle fined…Giants Johnson & Bradshaw fined…,DeAngelo Williams, Pat WIlliams, Benny Sapp fined… Who is next?

10 or 15 seconds? What are you smoking??
Anyway. I don’t mind fines for clearly illegal plays. but please don’t fine player for any big hit. and TD celebrations need to be allowed. It’s just such a downer to see these guys hold back on celebrations they would otherwise do.

Darnell is feeling good cause his team is heating up… He better hope he doesnt cross paths with the Giants again, which could definitely happen.
You think the Giants offensive line is going to let this one slide? I doubt it.
