Jarrett gets his chance with Muhammad out

The Panthers will be without starting wide receiver Muhsin Muhammad Sunday for their game against the Cardinals.

Unfortunately for Carolina, they haven’t felt his presence that much most weeks. Muhammad has gained only 219 yards this season with a paltry 9.1 yards per catch average.

Long-time disappointment Dwayne Jarrett will get his second career start in Moose’s place; Jarrett has three catches this year.  Starting free safety Charles Godfrey and tight end Dante Rosario will also be out for the Panthers.

The Panthers arrived in Arizona on Friday to acclimate to the time change.  A wounded team at 2-4, the Cardinals figure to get Carolina’s best effort as the Panthers try to exact some revenge for last season’s playoff loss.

Oh yeah. The Cards are bracing for an all-world effort in this rematch. The Cards have never beat Carolina at home, so they can’t overlook this team. Panthers are dangerous.

Coming out of college, Dwayne Jarrett didn’t want to be compared to Mike Williams just because they were both big slow WRs who put up inflated numbers at USC.
I think it’s safe to compare them now.
And to think the Vikings, in desperate need of a young WR and Jarrett still available, were criticized got taking Sidney Rice instead. Just goes to show why those immediate draft grades mean nothing.

Good thing you don’t include cartoons with your stories, or there could have been serious rioting in response to this post.

You mean “Long-time, 23 year old, no playing time Dwayne Jarrett” eh? Can we at least wait until a year or two after the standard draft age before calling a guy “Long-time disappointment”?

So, Jarrett get his chance to shine and catch passes from Delhomme?
I didn’t know that he played Cornerback for the Cardinals.

Pretty soon Jarrert will be following another flash in the pan (Keary Colbert) right out the door.
Hey I hear the UFL needs has been NFL players!

I think it’s Delhomme who will try to avenge himself; everyone else showed up last season during that game except him.
The Panthers front office deserves what they’re getting for re-upping Jake after last season. Further proof that the QB position makes or breaks an entire team’s prospects. Look at ALL the craptacular teams; they have one thing in common.

It’s too bad the Panthers picked Jarrett over a much better USC receiver that got taken just a few picks later in the second round. Not only is Steve Smith better than Jarrett, how badass would it be if they had two starting receivers with the same exact name??

Not much he can do with DelHomme at QB.
