Mario Manningham questionable with shoulder injury

The New York Giants may need to play Sunday's big NFC East showdown against the Philadelphia Eagles without starting wide receiver Mario Manningham.

Mark Dwyer of Newsday reports that rookie wide receiver Hakeem Nicks lined up with the first-string offense in today's practice. Manningham went out to the practice field only for stretching and did not participate in practice.

ESPN's Adam Schefter tweeted that Manningham hurt his shoulder at the end of Thursday's practice and is now questionable for Sunday.

Manningham is second on the team in catches (28) and yards (439) while Nicks is third on the team in both categories, with 16 catches for 315 yards. Steve Smith is the Giants' top receiver.

In good injury news for the Giants' offense, running back Ahmad Bradshaw participated in drills despite a foot/ankle injury and starting tackle Kareem McKenzie worked with the first team despite a groin injury.

Sit him out.. we will need him for the NFC Championship game and the superbowl.

A few more games and there won't be enough players to field a team.

What is with this guy? -every- week he's listed with an injury. Someone needs to tell him to put on his big girl panties, buck up and play.

By week fourteen 75% of the team will be from the practice squad. This is getting ridiculous. Nicks is young but he eventually is going to take manningham's job, they still need manningham because he's a playmaker eventhough he has baby feet, runs awful routes and has bad hands. Hes still on pace for a good season.

@GurpBadesha... You go and beat a team with a winning record and maybe you can actually say you need to rest him for some sort of a "playoff game"... oh but then your next 3 or four games are against teams with winning records, scratch that idea. Too bad the "gints" can't play the BrownTurds, Skins and scRAMS every Sunday. Then we can talk about playoffs... Playoffs?? (where's Jim Mora when you need him when someone from Gotham goes and gets stupid and says that they're resting players for the "playoffs".
Not so fast, you too Jets fans... J-E-T-S Lose, Lose, Lose!
Hey, maybe you should rest him to get a better spot in the 2010 draft?
Halloween Costume? Dress as a Giants player and tell them they're going to the playoffs... SCARY!

Why? Is he being traded to Minnesota or New Orleans?

I KNOW how BADLY my team sucks.. did you notice the scRAMS reference with the teams that the Giants could actually beat.
Read the COMPLETE post first, moron.

Because nobody makes nacho dip as well as Mario! When you're watching both games at Eli's house, you're gonna need some quality snacks.
