At some point on Saturday, the Dolphins will be arriving to the New York area. For most of the day on Saturday, yours truly will be in the New York area.
And, as it turns out, today might be the best day for yours truly to take a meeting with Miami linebacker Channing Crowder, given that Crowder has a shoulder injury that has relegated him to doubtful on the official injury report.
Crowder missed practice on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
The Dolphins otherwise are enjoying good midseason health. (Unless they're hiding injuries. But who does that?) Nose tackle Jason Ferguson (foot) and running back Ricky Williams (thumb) are listed as probable, and no one else appears on the injury report.
The Jets, who were smacked down earlier this year for injury shenanigans in relation to former quarterback Brett Favre, disclosed more than a few names.
Cornerback Lito Sheppard (quadricep) is doubtful. Receiver David
Clowney (ankle), receiver Jerricho Cotchery (hamstring), defensive end Shaun Ellis
(knee, ankle), linebacker Bart Scott (knee), and receiver Brad Smith (quadricep) are questionable.
Linebacker David Harris (wrist), guard Brandon Moore (foot), cornerback Donald Strickland (ankle), linebacker Bryan Thomas (wrist), and tackle Damien Woody (foot) are probable.
