Report: Talib broke curfew, swore at Morris

It hasn't been a great week for WDAE in Tampa, but the radio station continues to try to break explosive news about the hometown Buccaneers.

Steve Duemig of the station alleges that some Bucs significantly broke curfew while in London, including cornerback Aqib Talib.  That's not a shocker.

More worrisome for the team is that coach Raheem Morris reportedly confronted the players in the hotel lobby when they returned, and Talib reportedly responded with a string of F-bombs directed at his coach.

Duemig's report came on Friday, and the Bucs haven't address the allegations.  It's worth noting that both Tampa daily newspapers didn't mention the report.  Talib started at cornerback against the Patriots.

Talib is scheduled to be arraigned in his midemeanor battery charge is on Nov. 9.  He's filed a written plea of "not guilty."

Talib is well on his way to being the new and improved Pacman. Pacman Jr, perhaps?

They knew he was a headcase when they drafted him, but there's no way a team can have a player do that. This Raheem Morris experiment is not quite working out.

Talib is nothing but another huge waste of flesh...he'll end up either in jail or dead and it shouldn't shock anyone when it happens.

He learned from the best: chuckie

  11. Bigbluefan says: October 31, 2009 4:41 PM

If this happened and the team did nothing about it then the coach should know he is done

Anyone who lets an employee do that is done

How does this suprise anybody? He was a headcase and a problem child in college. Everybody knew that, many teams wouldn't draft him because of it. Now, he's got millions of dollars and more freedom than he did in college, so he's just a bigger head case and problem adult. Cut ties and let him joint the all POS league with Clarette, Marcus Vick, Onterrio Smith, Pacman Jones, etc., etc...

Talib didn't like what was on the "Radio".

Hopefully this incident with the talented, but troubled Talib did not happen. If it happened as described here, then it is outrageous that the Bucs did not suspend Talib for the Pats game and, essentially, for the month of November. Morris imay already done as a HC after this season; he is certainly done if this incident occurred without a Talib suspension.

Raheem's a young spry coach. He shoulda pulled a Tom Cable on this little punk and just knocked him out in the lobby. I know that a lot of NFL players read this web site and Aquib, if you are one of them, I hope you know the world thinks you're a punk. Nobody will know who you are in 3 years when you've been drummed out of the NFL.

I don't know much about Aquib Talib but if he's the starter he must have some talent so I understand they wanted their best players on the field.

That said you have to either bench him or discipline him in some way to send a message to the team that this can't happen and to make them respect the coach.

I know he is becoming a good corner but can you imagine this punk f-bombing Tony Dungy, Bill Parcels et al? I think he needs a major league time out...for about four games w/o pay! He is going to continue to pull this bully crap until somebody throws him a code red.
Morris not sitting him down is just another indicator that he is in way over his head. Thanks Glazer boys.

It says some Bucs not just Talib. A good example that you don't get respect, you earn it and certainly Morris has done absolutely NOTHING to earn it. Sounds like the players see him as just an equal member of the Bucs and Talib sees Morris more like an older brother. I wonder how he could have got that idea. Just another mark against keeping Morris and another reason to show him the he is replaceable.

Aquib Talib is a punk. His huge head is gonna earn him an early exit from the league.

  21. syrbucfan says: November 1, 2009 7:57 AM

Hopefully he told Morris what the fans think of his coaching skills so far this season. Who doesn't want to drop some F-bombs on Morris the clown?

Aqib needs his ass beat...This guy sucker punches a cabbie then this...what a piece of s***. Would love to see Raheem Tom Cable his thug ass....
