Brett smiles as crowd boos

As Vikings quarterback Brett Favre took the field for the Vikings’ first offensive series, the Lambeau crowd engaged in a continuous “boo” until the teams lined up on the ball for a first-down play.

As he waited to huddle with his teammates, Favre smiled.

After first down, the boos returned for a bit.

After second down, the boos again made an appearance.

And then after the Vikings converted on third and five, thanks to a pass from Favre to Chester Taylor, the boos bubbled up again between plays.

After the next play, more boos.

It’s as if a reset button is being pressed in between plays, with the boos returning after the huddle forms and continuing until moments before the snap.

Eventually the Vikings’ first drive petered out on, via ancomplete pass from Favre to Bernard Berrian.

And then the crowd cheered.

The Packer fans were not able to boo long. They will be booing their own team before the season is over and maybe even before the game is over. I used to be proud to be a Packer fan, but they are resembling the fans in Philadelphia. I thought they were one of the classiest fans in football, but I guess bringing a Super Bowl and 3 MVP awards back to Green Bay is not enough for respect from a franchise that was the laughing stock of the NFL before he was the QB. Totally disappointed

This game is embarrassing. The whole Packer team is completely out of sync. As much as I hate to say it Minnie mouse is proving themselves to be the better team. Hats off to you minnie.
Well packer fans at least we can hope for TT to get fired after the season. Hey, maybe we could entice Cowher to be the next GM/HC. Wishfull thinking anyway.

With Favre throwing 4 Touchdown passes and blowing out his former team today in Green Bay for a clean sweep of his former team. Maybe the boo’s should be vented at the Green Bay front office
When Favre takes the field in the Super Bowl this year than you should really start to hear the boo’s.

” I used to be proud to be a Packer fan,”
Haha riiiggghhhtt. You were always a Favre fan and don’t even try to make it seem otherwise. And he was booed because he was the enemy moron. Why would Packer fans cheer for the Vikings?? and I give far more credit to Ron Wolf for turning the Packers around then Favre. Favre played a big role but like said, Wolf played a bigger one.

Packers4life you sir are the classless idiot. The fans of Green Bay have never Booed anyone like they booed on of the 4 faces on the Packers Mt Rushmore. And if you need it I have a photo of me in 1988 in a Lynn Dickey Hutch uniform. I have been a Packer fan since I knew what football was, and I have enough class to respect the best player in our teams history your type of fans are stupid and immature to boo the legend of Lambeau.. You are the type of fans who will be getting what you deserve when the Merry Ted McRodgers ship sinks back into irrelavance. which like it or not is where the team was before Brett was there and guess what after Ron left the team was still relavant, not because Mike Sherman was a great GM no, because the LEGEND was there to steer the ship so eat Packer loser you got what you wanted(Aaron Rodgers) and your team sucks, but if you had kept what you needed(Brett Favre) and got him what he needed(Randy Moss) then we all might have gotten what we wanted another Super Bowl.

Packer fans were a disappointment. Favre gave them the best years of his life/career and this is what he gets? What do they expect, its a business. He’s not from Wisconsin! Packers were good to him also but even their excuses for letting him go are irrelevant. If he was taking his time making up his mind about retirement, well, you’d think after giving them sixteen years they could give him a little time. How many players switch teams? Why should it be any different for him. And one lady said, “And I thought he was a good ole boy, maybe not”. So because he plays for vikes now he isn’t a good ole boy? Grow up! They should have cheered for him and said sorry we let you go.
