Brett smiles as crowd boos

As Vikings quarterback Brett Favre took the field for the Vikings’ first offensive series, the Lambeau crowd engaged in a continuous “boo” until the teams lined up on the ball for a first-down play.

As he waited to huddle with his teammates, Favre smiled.

After first down, the boos returned for a bit.

After second down, the boos again made an appearance.

And then after the Vikings converted on third and five, thanks to a pass from Favre to Chester Taylor, the boos bubbled up again between plays.

After the next play, more boos.

It’s as if a reset button is being pressed in between plays, with the boos returning after the huddle forms and continuing until moments before the snap.

Eventually the Vikings’ first drive petered out on, via ancomplete pass from Favre to Bernard Berrian.

And then the crowd cheered.
