Sure, there's no Sunday night game on NBC this week.
But it's still Football Night.
By 7:00 p.m. ET, the fat lady at Lambeau likely will be singing "fat lady in a little coat." So why not instead watch the highlights of the days games with Dan Patrick, Keith Olbermann, Tony Dungy, Rodney Harrison, and Peter King?
And then, at 8:00 p.m. ET, stick around to watch National Treasure on NBC instead of baseball.
Unless you've been suffering from insomnia and you're looking for the perfect cure.
Sunday night is still Football Night

You're a Moron Florio.
Today's NFL games have been horrible by the way. Worst week of NFL action yet.
Florio, you are an idiot!
The sports mojo in South Philly right now is palpable. The Eagles might as well have cast a curse on the YankMe's with that absolute *drubbing* of the Giants. Tonight, the Yanks go down. Wednesday, the Phils are WORLD F*CKING CHAMPIONS again. Sunday, The Eagles D sends Romo back to the shower to faint some more, leaving little doubt in anyone other than Vox Veritas' mind as to who the class in the NFC East is.
PHILLY WHAT?
I agree. Baseball puts me to sleep. No interest in national treasure though.....
Dan Patrick & Keith Olbermann are nauseating to listen too. Patrick's ego is out of control and Olbermann is truly a rotten human being.
Sorry, I can't watch the highlights show. Roger Goodell says that the NFL rejects divisiveness. In order to follow his example, I will not watch Keith Olbermann.
Just doing my part.
I like how Florio takes these digs at the baseball fans and it immediately pisses everyone off.
That said, I'll be watching the Yanks tonight.
Patrick is waaaaaaaay over rated and KO is a political hack
now if Rodney would spear KO, I'd watch.
Keith Olbermann is such a hack. I will not that show simply because of K.O
Football on sunday and monday. And they take the day off for a different stupid sport no one cares about?
Baseball should be scheduling the world series around the NFL, not the other way around.
Football Night in America is the worst highlights show in the history of the NFL. Sure if you want to listen to an hour and 14 minutes of yapping and 16 mins of highlights, then it's great. (Yes I timed it, and they show 60 seconds of highlights per game)
Otherwise tune into NFL Gameday highlights on the NFL Network, where Rich Eisen, Dion and Michael Irvin show highlights almost the entire time and with minimal yapping.
PS, it is lame to have to register just to leave a comment.
nbc sucks. it is to pft's detriment that it got involved with the no balls network.
If you really dig baseball and you somehow find it to be "exhilarating" --- might I suggest you go to little old ladies church bingo night --- it'll really blow your effing mind!!!
My gawd, how is it that we still have baseball fairies in our midst in the 21st century?
Uh no thank you, Football Night in America is an awful show.
It's like a TV producer put together a "fantasy team" of old sports broadcasters who haven't been good for years, and has them exchange bad jokes.
And usually the jokes are of the "Ha ha the player dropped the ball!" variety -- which I kind of grew out of in 8th grade.
Besides, Keith Olbermann is a jerk who can't hide his contempt for people. When he's gone I may give the show another chance.
I would rather watch grass grow or paint dry than waste a second on Olbermann. What a complete waste on DNA and oxygen.
