Bills expect Edwards back after bye

Buffalo Bills quarterback Trent Edwards, who has missed two-plus games with a concussion, is expected to return when the Bills resume their season in thirteen days, according to Jason La Canfora of NFL.com.

On November 15, the Bills play at Tennessee.

Ryan Fitzpatrick has played in Edwards' place, finishing out an overtime win over the Jets, leading the Bills to a victory at Carolina, and then handling the duties during a 31-10 loss to the Texans.

Edwards is expected to fully participate in practice soon.

Frankly, it sounds like the Bills were planning to ride Fitzpatrick's Harvard hot hand until it cools off.  Now that it has, it's time to go back to Edwards.

Fitzpatrick has generated a passer rating of 57.8.  Edwards' passer rating is 73.0.

Edwards is the lesser of two evils I guess

Either way, the Bills starting quarterback next year better not be on the current roster.

Edwards is 100 times better than Fitzpatrick.

The last 3 games, the bills have looked like the Raiders...

The scary thing is that if the Bills had beaten the Texans, even if Fitz only had 100 yards pssing, Juron may have kept Edwards on the bench past the bye week...

Ralph wilson needs to die, he is a cheap old loser that makes the NFL in Buffalo look like a joke, he doesn tdeserve to be in the HOF, what a joke.

schism, ralph wilson has been nothing but a class act his entire time in buffalo. He does more for the Buffalo community every year than most owners do in their entire tenure. I hope you die for suggesting he dies because you deserve it.

Look, this has little to do with Ralph Wilson. Fact is the offensive coaching sucks and has for years. There is no imagination in either the play calling or it could be that the book of plays needs a complete overhaul. When you don't or won't throw the ball down the field and the opponent knows that, it is so much easier to play D inside of 5 or 6 yds from scrimmage. This is exactly what I see happening week after week. Throw in a weak offensive line and missed blocking assignments and the whole thing unravels. No imagination in the offense makes the Bills an easy team to both play and beat.
