Dolphins-Jets one-liners

Dolphins DE Randy Starks had a huge third-down sack to halt the Jets’ final drive and help preserve a 30-25 victory.

Said Dolphins WR/KR Ted Ginn of how he evaded tacklers on his second kickoff return touchdown of the day, “It’s like a mouse trapped in the corner. You ever wonder how the mouse got out of the corner? It got creative. I got creative.”

Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald credited the victory to the fact that the Dolphins are a team of character while the Jets “are a bunch of jerks.”

The Dolphins offense was a non-factor in the game, especially when running plays out of the Wildcat.

Dolphins DE Jason Taylor returned a fumble 48 yards for a touchdown during the wild third quarter.

Rich Cimini of the New York Daily News wonders why the Jets didn’t squib instead of kicking to Ginn a second time given how well their defense was playing.

Jets QB Mark Sanchez was 20 of 35 for 265 yards and two touchdowns, but he couldn’t get the team in the end zone on their final drive.

Sanchez was amused by two fans dressed for Halloween — one went as a hot dog and one went as the Jets quarterback.

Jets coach Rex Ryan chose not to challenge an apparent fumble by Dolphins WR Davone Bess on the lone Dolphins touchdown drive.

Jets RB Thomas Jones ran 27 times for 102 yards, his third straight week with more than 100 yards rushing.

and to think the jets are *still* chirping after this loss….. jesus guys, take your damn medicine already and shut up.
nothing proves how classless you are than talking big in the face of defeat multiple times over.

Props to the Dolphins. They beat Jabba the Jet and his band of big mouths. If any team deserves to lose a game like that (statistic advantage in their favor) it’s the Jets. Then you got Kerry Rhodes trying to start a fight with Porter on the sideline before the game. That, son, is going to cost you. LOL

frank – yeah, what was up with that?
kerry rhodes, clearly following in the immature footsteps of his coach’s mentality, went over to the dolphins side of the field during stretches just to talk crap to porter? why would you do that?
professional athletes do their talking on the field. if we want to be real here, porter could kick rhodes’ ass many times over. what could kerry possibly be saying?

Dolphins have beat the Jets twice.
Apparently Ryan thinks style points should also count. He must’ve gone to the Wade Phillips school of coaching.
He was impressed by the low stats his defense gave up. Giving up 200 yards on two kickoffs also counts… and gives your team the ball back… without giving the Dolphins QB a chance to rack up yards.
Rex looking at the Dolphins Offense’s low yardage is therefore meaningless. This is an omen for Jets fans. Your coach… not so bright.
And… is it possible… he’s getting… bigger? The camera is no friend
