Texans-Bills one-liners

Texans rookie OLB Brian Cushing led his team in tackles for the sixth time this season in Sunday's 31-10 win.

Houston dominated the time of possession battle against Buffalo, holding the ball for 39 minutes with a virtually unstoppable running game led by RB Ryan Moats.

The Texans started Sunday's game in a nickel alignment, with Jacques Reeves as the fifth defensive back and weak-side linebacker Zach Diles on the bench.

Now 5-3, the Texans are off to their best start in franchise history.

Bills WR Terrell Owens took over fourth place on the all-time touchdowns list with his 29-yard score on an end-around in Sunday's loss.

Bills QB Ryan Fitzpatrick managed just 117 passing yards in the defeat, so ESPN's Adam Schefter expects Trent Edwards (concussion) to regain his starting job after Buffalo's Week 9 bye.

Red-hot Bills rookie S Jairus Byrd departed the game with a fourth-quarter groin injury, but not before he became the NFL's interceptions leader with two picks of Texans QB Matt Schaub.

Fitzpatrick observed that the Bills' defense "just wore down" in the game with Buffalo's offense unable to sustain drives.

Mike Florio expands on the Texans' Week 8 whipping of Buffalo in his Monday Morning Aftermath column.

Didn't he become the INTs leader last week? He tied Sharper and then passed him in the same game...

How long will Buffalo fans keep buying Pozlucznys (sp?) before they realize that he is not any good?
