The Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the last winless team in the league, have made a roster move that likely won't do much to change the "0" into a "1".
The team has announced that cornerback Mike Mickens has been signed from the Cowboys' practice squad.
Mickens, a seventh-round pick in the 2009 draft, was cut by the Cowboys on September 5. After clearing waivers, he joined the practice squad.
To make room for Mickens, the Bucs cut cornerback Marcus McCauley, a 2007 third-round pick of the Vikings who has bounced around after being cut before the season started.

So McCauley couldn't hang in Tampa OR Detroit? Doesn't look good for the guy..
Already reported in the Tuesday Morning One-Liners.
hmmm, kinda figured mccauley would at least play as a decent nickel, possible #2 in a year or 2. I wonder if he didn't do himself in somehow. Maybe not working hard enough in the offseason.
Holy Crap, this is the move I've been waiting for. Now the Bucs will reel off 9 wins in a row, get a wildcard seed and advance to the Super Bowl.
Oh that's right, Junior still has his hands on the tiller of the ship in Tampa, 0-16 baby, 0-16.
The Dallas defense has 4 interceptions, only KC, Seattle & Washington have fewer.
If this guy was even average he would have been playing.
@Quagmire
That is solid football analysis there buddy. Because, you know, you ONLY judge CB's on their ability to intercept the ball.
He was on the practice squad because Dallas has 2 1st round draft choices starting. A over achieving late round draft pick in the slot, and the 4th cb is pretty equal to Mickens. However, he can also play safety, so he gets the roster spot over Mickens.
Mickens was pretty highly touted coming out of Cincinnati- he dropped to the 7th round because of a knee injury towards the end of the season. He was projected to go as high as the first round prior to that injury.

Ok, how about this:
Newman is tied for 11th, in passes defended, Jenkins is tied for 31st.
Two first round CB's should be a bit better than that...don't you think?

Your such an idiot....you must be an egals or a sour vagiants fan.
You're missing my point. I'm not saying Dallas CB's are superior to anyone, except Mike Mickens.
Quagmire was suggesting that because Mickens wasn't starting in Dallas where the team has very few turnovers, that Mickens should have been starting in Dallas.
As someone who has seen every single Dallas preseason game, regular season game and attended one practice, I'm saying that Mickens had 3 players WELL above him on the depth chart.
Wait, I see how this works. Barbie Carpenter has as many sacks as Ray Lewis, therefore Barbie Carpenter is as good of a ILB as Ray Lewis.
