In August, the Titans severed ties with receiver Chris Davis after he was busted for drunk driving by the same police officer who had two high-profile encounters with the late Steve McNair.
Davis has had periodic workouts since being cut. But he now has a job.
He’s back with the Titans, according to Terry McCormick of the Nashville City Paper.
The Titans dumped cornerback Cary Williams to clear a roster spot for Davis.
Davis might get immediate work as a kickoff and/or punt returner. The Titans have been searching for the answer since cutting Mark Jones. Most recently, safety Michael Griffin returned kickoffs and safety Kevin Kaesviharn returned punts.
